An excerpt from LOVE IN DUBLIN
Copyright © Jennifer Gracen 2017

As she opened her mouth to say goodbye and thank him for joining her, Colin asked her if she’d have dinner with him.

Her heart skipped a beat. The way he was looking at her… he didn’t want the day to end yet either. Maybe he was ready for more than she thought? “Dinner? But you just spent all weekend with me.” She tossed him a playful grin as she joked, “Aren’t you tired of me by now?”

“No,” he said. The corners of his mouth turned up, a hint of sheepish and a lot of sexy. He stood there patiently, just gazing down at her.

Her heart fluttered. God, he was adorable. A knotted up burly bear with a sweet, kind heart. And lips she was dying to taste. And beautiful blue eyes that showed there was so much more on his mind than the short, polite things he said.

The noises of the city—cars driving, people walking by and talking, horns and shouts on the air—seemed to fade away as she stared back at him.

“I have to admit,” he said quietly, “I do enjoy your company.”

Delight and want made her stomach give a wobbly flip. She finally gave in to the impulse she’d been squelching all day. She dropped her duffel bag to the ground by her feet, placed her hands on his shoulders, and stood on her tiptoes to sweetly brush her lips across his.

“What are you doin’?” he whispered against her mouth, his eyes wide.

“Kissing you in the middle of Dublin.” She pressed her lips to his softly and his breath
hitched. Loving that, she did that again, lips brushing against his with a feather’s touch.
“Confession: I’ve been wanting to kiss you all day.”

“Is that so?” Amazement sparked in his eyes. His hands slowly lifted to her face.

“Mm hmm.” Her heart started racing, adrenaline coursing through her. His fingertips stroked her cheeks as his gaze locked with hers.

She kissed him again, still soft and gentle, still testing, gaging his reactions. His body was tense, holding back, but his eyes revealed how much he wanted her. As usual, there was so much going on in those bright blues… but right now, desire was the winner there, clear as day. It gave her a rush and she shivered from it.

“Actually,” she said, “the full truth is, I’ve been wanting to kiss you for weeks.”

His gaze burned into her. His hands slowly swept along her jaw, then cupped her face.
“Well… if we’re being truthful, I’ve been wantin’ to kiss you for weeks too.”

“Then you should,” she whispered, smiling up at him. “I mean, I already kissed you first…”

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

This is a book that will make you cry and laugh, it’s tender and sweet and a story to get lost in. It’s one of my favourites this year.

Colin is recently divorced from a loveless marriage that resulted in three children he loves and live for. Maggie has suffered a tragic loss and now travels for a living, never stopping for long in one place. In Dublin she’s intrigued by Colin and they spend a lot of time together, things happen and suddenly the life they know is not the same anymore.

I love the way this book is written, so much feelings in every chapter, the characters is made real by stripping away their layers of protection they built. They are both souls that are scarred in some way, one by loss and one by sacrifice. These two souls finding their way together is perfectly described.

“I’ll miss you every bloody day and night. Always wondering where you are, what you’re doing, if you’re all right… but I’m letting you go.”

There is no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and a good amount of dialogues in addition to the inner dialogues that makes this a genuine story.

The love scenes are some of the more emotional ones I’ve read but not over the top and not to many. Perfection!!!!!

If you like a story with the ability to make you forget the world and live in Dublin with Colin and Maggie and their beautiful love story you should buy this one.

Wow, what a sinfully amazing story. I think the queen of filthy words Tessa Bailey has outdone herself in this one, my favourite has always been Protecting What’s His but this could very well be on the same shelf.

Teresa is trying to help her brother out of a criminals claw, to do that she has to get his son back to NY, but the plans changes when the heart is at stake.

As fare as writing style goes this author always makes the stories flow easily and she pulls me in to the story with her growling men and strong ladies. There’s no lack of dialogues but in addition I feel like I get in to the head and heart of the characters.

There’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and that makes me happy because the core of the story is the characters and their experiences, feelings and actions.

When it comes to the oh...so filthy language she’s a queen at writing male characters that makes the ladies feel like they can conquer the world inside and outside the bedroom. And the love scenes is seductive and romantic at the same time as being filthy sexy.

Will only wants to give Teresa what she need in any way he can, and she has lost her heart to him and his precious dog, don’t forget the dog.....I love their interactions with the dog.

I thought I’ve read the best there is from this author but WOW, this book just blows me away.

Tits. There are tits in my room. Really fucking nice ones.
I’m so distracted by their unexpected appearance—any red- blooded man with working testicles would be—that I don’t take in their owner right away. And all the other equally amazing shit that’s going on. The sexy brunette has one foot propped on my bed, her hands paused on her calf where she’s been applying lotion, before I so rudely interrupted her by walking into my own room.
A gruff bark from Southpaw prompts me to double check the door. But I do it fast—we’re in the right place—because as I mentioned, there’s a really fucking nice pair of tits in my room. Sue me for wanting to memorize the shape and color of her tight, rosy nipples before she screams and covers herself.
Which she doesn’t exactly seem inclined to do.
 “Can we help you?”
Up until now, a big waterfall of dark hair has been hiding the woman’s face from me. But at my greeting, she tosses that thick mane back...and reveals features that accomplish the impossible. It nudges her tits into second place for most incredible body part in the room.
Hearing male voices approach in the hallway, I kick the door shut, surprised by the fact that I already don’t want anyone else looking at her. “You going to tell me why you’re in my room, woman? Or just stand there looking hot?”

MY REVIEW
Tristan is securing his future by trying to finish his degree in business degree even if he has a professional hockey career. Summer school proves to be interesting when he makes a connection with the professor. But he’s not out and Sebastian is, will this work out?

I absolutely love the story this duo creates, it’s hot, heartfelt, warm, agonising, sweet, surprising and........I could go on forever. When I’m finished reading I’m left with a warm fuzzy feeling of content.

The storyline is good and even if it’s similar to other stories I’ve read before the authors manages to drag me in to the story and keep me entertained through the whole book.

The love scenes is good in the way they progress slowly from making out to finally making love after some meetings, they don’t jump to the heavy stuff at once and I like that. The connection between Sebastian and Tristan is well described and you feel the love growing between them.

No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues is a given when reading this story from these authors equals *happy me*

If you like m/m with hotness and feelings I recommend this one, I even cried at some point so maybe keep a handkerchief close.

Dan, Andrew and Avril, friends for seventeen years suddenly ends up in a love triangle. Will their friendship survive?

I liked this story very much but I was a little frustrated in the beginning with all the three friend involved, I felt like it was a chaos and I couldn’t quite get the feeling of the characters but it all was made clear eventually.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues so this was a read that went by very quick. Character descriptions is well done (eventually) and there’s a lot of feelings in this book.

Dan’s childhood made him the man he is today; not trusting anyone and not capable of love and being loved, except his two friends. I cried for the little boy that suffered and still got through life very well.

Andrew and Avril has always been there for Dan. The chances in their relationship makes Dan more insecure and afraid of losing his friends. That leads to so much mistakes and suffering for some of them.

It’s no secret that I love this authors books and this one is no exception however this is not my favourite. I’ll give it a 4,5 stars 🌟 and say it left me with so many different feelings and I can’t reveal them because spoilers alert.

Review: Her Sexiest Fantasy

Her Sexiest Fantasy Her Sexiest Fantasy by Janelle Denison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

Jade is afraid to open up to a man so she fills her journals with fantasies but when one of the journals falls in the hands of Kyle, her flirting neighbour things change for them both.

Well, this was a very enjoyable book filled with sensuality, feelings and romance.

The writing style is easygoing, fun and has a lot of dialogues so I easily disappeared in the story.

I feel like the characters came alive in the book and they were described with emotions and flaws which makes it more realistic.

Jade and Kyle’s relationship progressed slowly but steady and the author managed to make it sensual without being to dirty.

It’s not the most intriguing book I’ve read but it’s a good 4 star read I can recommend if you like a happy ending in a light read.

Review: Her Sexiest Mistake

Her Sexiest Mistake Her Sexiest Mistake by Janelle Denison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC and freely give my review of it*

Mariah and Gray couldn’t be more different when it comes to what they want in life. Mariah wants a husband and children, Gray don’t want any of that. After eight months Gray wants to take it to the next level but it’s not the same level as Mariah wants......

I liked this story very much but I don’t think the beginning was as good in comparison to the rest. Maybe it was because of Mariah not being able to resist Gray like I felt she should have.....but it got better.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues so reading this story was easy. No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings is also a bonus.

Characters descriptions is very good and the connection between Mariah and Grey is described with a lot of emotions. The way Gray finally sees that the future can be something other than he always vision is so sweet and emotional I almost chaired loudly.

I liked the twist and turns of the story, specifically in the last part of it.

This was a sweet story with a happy ending I can safely recommend.

Excerpt

Jackson took a step toward me, closing the space I’d put between us. He swept the hair off my face and trailed his finger down and across my jaw. “I thought we took care of that thinking problem the other night.”
“Jackson.” Man, he was making it so hard to hold onto anything resembling resolve.
He leaned closer, his lips a mere breath away. “Ivy.”
My heart thumped harder and harder in my chest. Am I really going to do this? Say something that might stop our sexytimes fun in its tracks before I get my fill?
Yes, damn it, it looks like I am. I really should’ve come up with a more solid plan so I’d know exactly what to say.
“While the other night was fun, I know that you’re looking for something”—my throat tightened, and I had to force the words out—“more long term.”
“You’ve obviously been talking to my meddling family—my money is on Savannah.”
I shrugged. “It doesn’t make it less true, does it?”
“I told you the other night that I knew we were only having fun, and I meant it.”
“But you’re dating someone.” Guilt flooded me as I said it. I’d been so focused on how upset Savannah would be that I’d managed to forget that I had even more to feel guilty for.
“I’ve been on a few dates recently, yes, but I’m not in a committed relationship, or I never would’ve carried you to bed. You really think I’d do that?”
Now that I thought about it, no, but I still wondered if Caroline thought they were more serious. His family certainly hoped it would go in that direction. “I don’t want to get in the way.”
Jackson’s intense gaze bored into me, making my heart skip a few beats altogether. “You’ve been in the way since the moment I walked through the door of this house—hell, maybe even since the engagement party. I tried wanting what’s good for me, but wanting you is stronger.”
Every ounce of air whooshed out of my lungs at once. “Then maybe we need to rethink our business arrangement. I can hire someone else to help me fin—”
“No.”
There was the familiar irritation, leaking in and spiking my blood pressure. I tossed the roller down in the vicinity of the tray. “Okay, let’s at least talk about it, because if—”
“No. We made a deal, and I plan on seeing it through. I’m also a grown man, and I’m perfectly capable of making my own decisions. I understand that this thing between us is temporary, and I don’t care.” He hauled me to him, his arm coming around my waist to secure me against him. “I’m not quite done having my way with you yet.”
He crashed his mouth down on mine, and all my pent-up energy surged forward at once, common sense taking the backseat as lust took the wheel. I parted my lips, diving
headlong into the kiss. I ran my hands up his firm arms, not realizing my left hand was still wet with paint from catching myself until I’d dragged it most the way up.
Jackson glanced at the smear of blue covering his biceps and the sleeve of his T-shirt, arched an eyebrow, and then backed me up against the wet wall, his hips bumping into mine.
I moaned as he ground against me. He felt so good I didn’t even care about the paint or the fact that I’d need to redo the wall. I just wanted more of him on more of me.

She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. This book is soooo fun and entertaining it has been a while since I’ve read something similar.
The Elsa comment..... I love it πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‚

Ivy is in over her head taking on flipping a house but when her best friend sends her brother Jackson to help her she gets more help then she expected. Can she keep Jackson from knocking down the walls around her heart in the process?

Ivy’s childhood is described in a heartbreaking way, no wonder she don’t believe in love and I couldn’t see how Jackson ever is going to break through her walls. But the way that the author made Jackson break down the walls around Ivy’s heart was very well written. And in the end I was crying for all the
love Ivy deserved and hadn’t gotten before.

The writing style is fun and easy and there’s a lot of dialogues. The flow of the story is very steady so it’s easy to keep reading even if I should’ve stopped, it’s just not easy to put this book down.

No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings is another reason to enjoy this book so very much.

I love the way the author makes the characters come alive and I feel like their my friend in the end.

This book is packed with emotions so I laughed and cried. The love between Ivy and Jackson is building in a steady pace, I liked it even if I got frustrated with Ivy from time to time.

A very good five star πŸ’« romantic HEA.
