Review: Professional Misconduct

Professional Misconduct Professional Misconduct by Lucy Wild
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

This was a fun and hot little story.
The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues so a very enjoyable read.

It's not easy to feel a connection to the characters in such a short story but they are well described and there are some hot and sweet scenes. Sometimes I feel like the scenes are missing that extra magic that makes them special, but they are not bad just ordinary hot.

If you like a short hot story with a young girl and her professor this is a good 4 star read.

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

This was a short and hot story, a nice evening read.

The storyline is good, well described characters and no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings.

You don’t get the same feelings reading such a short novel as you get reading the longer ones but this is a good and entertaining story.

The writing style is fun and easy and there’s enough dialogues to make the story go forward at a steady past.

If you like a short hot, sweet, happy ending story pick this up for a light evening read.

Review: Strike Up the Band

Strike Up the Band Strike Up the Band by Sam Burns
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book”

So sad 😞 because I couldn’t give it more stars.
After Jake loses his twin sister the band they played in gets a replacement and Jake is not happy with this. Brian struggles as the new member of the band but will he ever get over his crush on Jake?

I didn’t particularly like or dislike this book it just didn’t engage me in any way. There was some sweet moments but for the most part I found myself mostly wanting to be finished reading. I didn’t see that coming because it sounded interesting in the blurb, but that’s my personal opinion. Others might think it’s great.

If I should point out something that could be the reason for my lack of engagement it must be the writing style that I found staccato and not flowing enough to have me disappear in to the story.

The characters are well described but I missed the feeling of getting to know them well. I like it when they feels like my own friends at the end of the book and that was not the case here.

There’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and dialogues is plenty but I still felt like the dialogues was stilted.

One of the main things I missed was the lack of intensity in the feelings between Brian and Jake, but not being asexual myself I have no references to how a relationship can be for a person who is asexual. Also, I’m used to more “romance” in a romance book.

I’m sad to give this book only 3 stars from me because there is potential, but I don’t regret reading it.

Review: Too Beautiful to Break

Too Beautiful to Break Too Beautiful to Break by Tessa Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

I think the build up for Sage and Belmont has been to much, not only to them but me too, we’re all left in a haze of feelings.

The ending of a beautiful series is completed with Sage and Belmont’s story and what a story. Sage and Belmont is a force of nature, they’re meant to be together forever. They both have some experiences that makes them likely to fall in the pit of being to codependent on each other.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with emotions and I like it because it makes me become part of the story. I’ve had bits and pieces of this couple in the other books but now it’s complete.

Sage and Belmont’s story is intense and the characters descriptions is heartfelt and emotional. I’m always in awe of the authors ability to make me cry and laugh but this story was exceptionally emotional so it mostly was crying. Although I’m crying it’s mostly happy tears because the love between this couple is so strong and intense but there are some tears for the sad childhood experiences Sage and Belmont have.
I like when authors write characters with all their flaws caused by life experiences because that’s what we all have; good and bad experiences of living. And that’s what makes us who we are and that’s the case with Belmont, he’s always the protector.

I have nothing more to say than; if you haven’t read this series you have to start now!!!

Review: 325 First Fights

325 First Fights 325 First Fights by E.L. Todd
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

Omg, these five friends will kill me. Ace, Bree, Cypress, Blade and Amelia are all making a mess of their relationships.
This is book 2 in this series and it’s addictive, I can’t put it down. This has a way of holding my attention in the way the story twists and turns all the time, it’s never boring.

Great writing style, easygoing and filled with dialogues and no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings. Only wats necessary to keep the story going without making it feel rushed.

The characters is getting to feel like my own friends because their well described with lots of feelings. If I should mention one negative thing it’s that I get frustrated at times when they don’t communicate and are honest with each other.

Like always there is some hot love scenes filled with affection and emotions. They are tasteful without losing the hotness level.

Wonderful series so fare, I recommend it but you need to read in order and it’s a cliffhanger. Even so, it’s worth it! 5 stars 🌟

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans, and laptop, and drove cross-country to New York City in under four days. Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend, and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband and daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC and freely give my review of it*

Maggie has no desire to have a mate but when Eric shows up to accompany her back to her sister and their flock she can't help feel the connection they have.

I loved this book and the relationship building between Maggie and Eric was beautifully described.

The storyline is good and there's no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings so it's a light read. In addition there is enough dialogues to make it a very good book in my opinion.

Lots of emotions makes all of the stories in this series very intense and I love curling up in my chair and just enjoy.

Review: Solace

Solace Solace by S.L. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*I was giftet this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

Jason wants his love of his life Delilah back and when he discovers she's not married anymore he gives it his best.

I like this book very much, it is a sweet, emotional story about second chances and I do love when the author can describe the characters in a way that makes you feel like they truly belong together and that's what S. L. Scott does in this story.

Delilah is not the girl Jason ones new after a marriage to a abuser, Jason want the strong confident girl back and he helps build her confidence up again.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues just as I like it. There's also no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings so this was a book for my soul.

The storyline and the build up is great, not to outdrawn and not to quick.

Building of the characters are good, they are filled with emotions and I feel like I get to know them well.

Halfway through the book I understood that Jason was Eric from SAVIOR, why didn't I realise it before????? I was so hoping for him to find his happiness in that book, and I'm thrilled he got it now. Because this is HEA and it's great!

5 great stars ✨

Review: Dirty: The Complete Collection

Dirty: The Complete Collection Dirty: The Complete Collection by Tara Crescent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book*

I enjoyed this collection of hot short books, but not enough to give it full score. To find short hot stories that has the ability to get me really involved in the happenings is hard.
The characters are well written and there are some emotions but it's not enough to get me a feeling of knowing the characters.

When that's said let's get to the good part because this is steaming hot ménage stories and 4 stories at this price is a bargain.

The storylines is good and the writing style is easygoing and fun. It has a lot of dialogues and no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings so I'm a content reader.

Even though I said I didn't get to know the characters I still feel like the author made them out to have backbone and integrity.

If you like hot short stories with explicit sexual content done in a tasteful way this is a good choice.

Review: My Image of You

My Image of You My Image of You by Melanie Moreland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I could give a hundred stars ✨ review coming!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟MY REVIEW 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

When Adam wakes up in the hospital and there's a bossy little nurse taking care of him he thinks she's the most wonderful person he ever laid eyes on. Ally is a confident bossy nurse at work but she's not the same confident person in private. Adam is lost in this wonderful girl and will stop at nothing to get her to be his.

This was perhaps one of the greatest love stories I've read in awhile, so sweet and tender and very intense. I absolutely love the build up in this story, it was like a fairytale come true.

Normally I mostly enjoy when a book is written from both main characters POV but I forgot it entirely when reading this story because there's so much emotions I got lost in the book. Adam is now my new book boyfriend 💜 all of the ways he can prove he loves someone is just amazing. Ally is a lucky girl and she sure deserves it.

Ally has had a loveless childhood and thanks to a few close people she's managed to be what she wants despite her parents cruelty. Adam has had his challenges too but he knows love is unconditional.

The writing style is easygoing and fun with a lot of dialogues both between characters and internal from Adam. At the end of the book we also got some of Ally's POV and that was great but I could easily lived with only Adam's POV, that's how good it was.

In my opinion what makes this book so good is all the little things like tattoos, gifts and notes......just things the couple do for each other. And the love scenes; so emotional and hot 🔥!

When I feel like I know the characters and I disappear in to the story it's a good sign, this book was read on a Sunday (all day) it was long in to the night when I finished. Exhausted but happy about a book that made me forget everything thin else, that's how a book should be in my opinion🤓📚😭😍😳😴

I could go on and on about this book but the I would reveal the whole book, I just hope people will read it and se for themselves what a diamond 💎 of a book this is.

Ps: Prepare to cry, so have your Kleenex ready.

Review: Turning up the Heat

Turning up the Heat Turning up the Heat by Erika Wilde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

Ian is repeatedly calling in to Kerri's radio show and there is a sizzling hot connection between the two of them. When they meet in person will it still be that hot?

I'm a crying mess, that ending was........ well, read it and you will see.
I loved this story, it was hot from the beginning and it just got hotter and sweeter the more I read.

Both Kerri and Ian has bad childhood experiences, Ian found people who helped him get past it but Kerri was not so lucky....until she meats Ian........

The storyline is very good with a wonderful build up, I'm just unable to put the book down because I want to know what happens next.

The characters are so great described with so much emotions that it's jumping off the pages and hits my heart and soul spot on.

No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings for the most part is in my opinion fine, not overflowing with dialogues but the internal dialogues of the characters are making up for that. In other words, a very joyful read.

I thought the past experiences Kerri struggles with and how it effected her life was just sad and I was so happy when Ian gets her to share with him. That just strengthened their emotional connection even more.

If you like to read about slow burning love that explodes you are truly in for a treat.
5 sweet, hot stars ✨

Omg, I have not read any books from this author that doesn't capture me afrom the beginning 😍Review coming as soon as I'm coming down from my reading cloud ☁️
----------------------🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟---------------------------------
MY REVIEW:
Lucas and Stephanie really crawled in to my heart and broke it and then healed it again.

A one night stand can have so many consequences as Lucas and Stephanie is about to learn. Will they're different upbringing make the challenges to much for them to handle?

First I have to say; this is book 8 in a series but it can easily be read as a standalone, second; I am absolutely in love with this series. If you haven't read any of the books I highly recommend you start now!

The childhood challenges for Stephanie can only be recognised as emotional abuse and it's no wonder she has trouble opening up to people. Lucas has all the support and love of his parents and he should have pushed Stephanie more.

I thought the storyline was excellent and the build up is nice, sweet and hot and sometimes frustrating, I love that it made me feel so much.

A lovely fun and light writing style with no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues is a safe bet in my opinion when it comes to a good book.

The characters is so great described with a lot of feelings and flaws that makes them ordinary humans and that in order makes me connect with them on a emotional level. This makes me feel like I live the life with them. What more can I ask from a book? This is my escape from the real world in to another world, if only for a little while, and when a story can do that, it's a big fat 5 stars ✨ from me.

GENRE: Contemporary Romance
COUPLE: Cora & Jack
TROPES: Reunited Lovers

SYNOPSIS:

Once upon a time, Cora Landers was America’s Sweetheart and destined to be the Next Big Thing in Hollywood—but that was before her sex tape ruined her image and eliminated her contracts. These days, instead of being an A-lister, she’s divorce attorney to the A-listers. So when her ex—and fellow sex tape star—Jack shows up, needing her expertise, she wants nothing to do with it.

Jack McArthur might have costarred in that sex tape, but he didn’t share Cora’s fate—instead of tanking his career, the tape skyrocketed it. Now, as one of Hollywood’s most buzzed about new directors, Jack has everything to lose—especially when he wakes up after a friend’s bachelor party gone wrong to find that he’s apparently married a woman he’s never met before…and now can’t find. Desperate, he goes to the only person who he knows can help—Cora.

Cora reluctantly agrees to help Jack—both because he’s offering an absurd amount of money and because she loves seeing him as a disadvantage for once. Neither of them anticipate the very real problem of their being unable to keep their hands off each other—or that Jack’s accidental marriage might be anything but accidental. With both her heart and career on the line—again—Cora has to decide if she’s going to take the high road or leave Jack hanging in the wind the same way he left her twelve years ago.

Jack opened the back door, every inch a gentleman—if it was gentlemanly to plan to ravage her in his backseat. Cora climbed in slowly, letting her dress ride up to give him a peek of her panties. His sharp inhale was reward in and of itself.
She expected him to follow immediately, but he stood there blocking the open space, his blue eyes forbidding. “Take those off.”
Cora settled back against the far door and pulled her dress up so she could slide her panties off. She tossed them in his direction, and Jack snaked a hand out to catch them. He slid them into his pocket and only then did he climb into the backseat with her.
“Really? You’re going to…what? Take them home as a memento? Bragging rights?”
“Cora.”
She licked her lips. “Yes?”
“Shut up. You know goddamn well and good that I’m not a douche like that, so stop pretending that I am.” He hooked her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the seat as he went to his knees next to the seat itself. “And stop pretending that it doesn’t get you wet knowing that I’ll be jacking myself to the scent of you later.”
Her jaw dropped. “Holy shit.”
“Now, stop talking.” He nudged her shoulder until she leaned back against the seat. Jack ran his hands up her thighs, spreading her legs farther. “It’s been a long time.”
There was nothing to say to that because it was the truth. Cora grabbed the hem of her dress and arched off the seat so she could drag it over her head. It left her in only her bra, but Jack’s curse made the bold move more than worth it. She shook her hair out of her face. “It won’t be much longer.”
He didn’t take his gaze off her as he reached for the center console. “Fuck, Cora.” The blatant appreciate in his tone made her smile despite herself. Jack met her eyes. “This isn’t a one-time thing.”
“Excuse me?”
“You. Me. This.” He motioned between them. “We do this, we’re doing this.”
The words were less than enlightening, but with his thumbs stroking intoxicating circles on her inner thighs, she wasn’t sure she cared. “Fine. Whatever. I need you inside me.”
His slow grin was foreplay all on its own. Jack traced his thumbs along the dip where her thighs met her hips. “Getting there.” He didn’t give her a chance to curse him. One second he was teasing her, the next he pushed two big fingers into her, filling her in a way that was nothing compared to the main course. She rolled her hips, trying to take him deeper, but Jack just chuckled and kept his strokes light.
Need built, stronger than it had any right to be. His scent wrapped around her in the close confines of the car, the tinted windows creating an intimate atmosphere despite where they were. Cora didn’t want intimate. She didn’t want soft. She sure as hell didn’t want slow. She grabbed his wrist. “Stop teasing me.”
“Come home with me.”
She blinked, surprised for what felt like the thousandth time that day. “What?”
“Come home with me, Cora.” Jack kept stroking her, his fingers unerringly gravitating to that sensitive spot inside her that could motivate her to do damn near anything. She gasped and he leaned down to eat the sound. His tongue stole her words even as his fingers continued their wicked work. Jack consumed her.
And then he stopped.
He pressed one last light kiss to her lips and sat back. “What’s your answer?”
She wasn’t even sure what the question was. Cora shook her head, trying to clear it. “This is emotional blackmail.”
“Hardly.” His thumb idly circled her clit, sending a wave of tension through her body. “This is me flat out saying that I want you naked in my bed, to do with as I please for several hours before we pass out. Reality can wait until tomorrow.”
Common sense said it was the perfect time to stop this before she got herself—and her heart—into trouble. No one had ever seen her the way Jack threatened to. She didn’t relish the thought of being stripped bare, only to be left in the dust when he moved on from his current crisis.
But if she didn’t jump now, she might never get the chance to again. The thought of spending the rest of her life kicking herself for missing the chance to be with Jack again had her finding words she never thought she’d say. “Yes.”
“Yes?” His cobalt eyes watched her every move, making her feel strangely like prey. It wasn’t a comfortable feeling, but it wasn’t entirely unpleasant, either.
Cora swallowed hard. “Take me home with you, Jack.”

He spun her around and pressed her hands to the door, his big body at her back. “This is the door.”
“It’s a very nice door.”
“Mmm.” His hips thrust against her ass, and she swallowed hard, her body clenching in anticipation. The first-time nerves were gone. She knew what was coming, and she knew she would be coming before long. They might not be compatible in life, but their bodies didn’t know that. Levi pulled her hair off her neck and kissed her there, taking his time, the sensation of his lips and beard making her toes curl. “I picked it out myself.”
Picked out… Oh, right. The door.
She arched back into him, rubbing her ass against his cock. “You have good taste.”
“Funny you say that, because what I want most right now is to taste you.” He backed off enough to pull her jacket off and then one hand was on the front of her jeans, unbuttoning them deftly and dragging the zipper down. She felt that tiny vibration all the way through her body. There was nothing to say, though, because he slipped a big hand into her jeans, dipping beneath her panties, and speared a single finger into her.
Brooklyn moaned and tried to spread her legs. The move tightened her jeans, holding his hand in place. “I need you.”
“Tour’s not done yet.” He pumped as much as he was able. And then he withdrew his hand.
She couldn’t keep her whimper of protest in. She spun to face him, trying to shove out of her pants in the process, and nearly face-planted. “Levi.”
“Dresser.” He lifted her, and walked the handful of steps to the dresser to set her on it. Then he yanked off her jeans and tossed them behind him. “Better.”
“Much.”
He stepped between her thighs and kissed her. It was nothing like the last time. There was no careful and teasing exploration. Levi sucked and stroked and nipped her into a frenzy. His mouth drew sounds from her she wasn’t aware she could make. She wrapped her legs around his waist and clung to his shoulders and basically tried to climb him like a big, sexy tree, because she needed his cock and she needed it now.
He shifted and set her back on the dresser, untangling from her. “Mahogany.”
It took Brooklyn a few beats to catch up. She looked down at the piece of furniture she sat on and back at the man in front of her, his hard length creating a mouthwatering outline against his jeans. “I don’t care.”
“You should. It’s a family heirloom. My grandfather built it.” He hit his knees in front of her and spread her legs wider. “It was his wedding gift to my grandmother.”
She blinked. Didn’t expect that, either. Brooklyn tried to get a better look at the massive piece of furniture but Levi chose that moment to lean in and drag his tongue up her center and suddenly, she didn’t give two fucks about what she sat on, as long as it didn’t fall apart beneath her. She gripped the edge of the dresser to keep from levitating right off it and looked down her body to meet his gaze.
The switch had been flipped again. Gone was the playfulness, replaced by that intensity that had tingles shooting down her spine. He really was something.
She half expected him to rush through the oral, but she really should have known better. Levi hitched her legs higher and went after her clit like it owed him money. He sucked and licked and growled against her skin as his grip tightened on her thighs.
Brooklyn was so lost in her pleasure, she didn’t notice that he’d half released her until she looked down to watch him again and saw that he was stroking himself. He jacked himself while licking her, as if he couldn’t contain himself and…
Her back bowed and she came with a cry. “Oh, my God.”
“You don’t have to call me God. Levi will do.” He kissed first one thigh and then the other. “But if you’re going to insist, I won’t stop you.”
“Shhhh. You don’t get to talk shit when I’m too weak from my fantastic orgasm to fight back.”
Levi rose and kissed her shoulder, her collar bone, her neck. “Honey, that’s the best time to talk shit.”

Ties that Bind Ties that Bind by Katee Robert

Cora and Jack made some headlines in the past but they haven't seen each other in some years when Jack suddenly shows up and asks Cora for help.

Cora and Jack's story is great, it's short but good. I like it very much but it's not the best fro this author, in some ways it lacks the intensity I'm used to, but that's just my opinion.

The writing style is easy and filled with dialogues. No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings makes it even more enjoyable.

The characters are described with feelings and the connection between Cora and Jack is hot and also sweet.

All of the love scenes are well written and filled with emotions. As I mentioned before the lack of intensity makes me give this a strong 4 stars.

Brooklyn is hired to find a dog and Levi is the thief that has said dog. When Brooklyn get caught trespassing in Levi's garden thing doesn't evolve the way any of them expected.

Brooklyn and Levi gave me more of a intensely love story than Ties That Bind so this is a good 5 stars story.

The writing style is easy and filled with dialogues. It's a fun, fast, sad and hot story.

No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and characters that's filled with emotions makes this very enjoyable.

Love scenes are hot and sweet without being over the top in any way.

Excellent 5 stars ✨ story!
