Review: Heat

Heat Heat by Opal Carew
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Rikki don't want to fall for another firefighter after losing her first love who was a firefighter. What is she to do when she not only falls for one but two firefighters.

I loved the build up in this story, how slow and erotic it was and I felt like it was the perfect pace. This is pure erotic entertainment with a nice storyline. It's not like some of those meaningless stories with only erotic scenes.

The characters are well described and the storyline is good. There are no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and a good amount of dialogues and that's a winner in my book.

At times i feel like screaming at the characters "don't do that!" and I think Rikki was a little weak at times because she seemed so indecisive. But all in all this was a good 5 star ⭐️ story if you want something hot and easy to read.

Oh, and it's a standalone which is also great. HEA all the way!

Upcoming book

From two of my favourite authors the fourth book in their Cyberlove series
is coming on June 2th

Link to preorder:

My life plan is to be brutally honest all the way to the bank. Don't believe me? I run a popular YouTube channel called TrashyZane, and my claim to fame is oversharing about every aspect of my personal life. Sometimes while tipsy. Not everyone loves my style, but I have a long history of icing out people who can't handle me. I have no time for judgmental foolishness.

Except, apparently, when it comes to Beau Starr. His channel is the polar opposite of mine, and so is he. Wholesome, inspirational, and clean-cut. Everything about him should turn me off, but when we hook up following a confrontation at a convention, my world flips upside down. Not only does Beau Starr turn me on, he uses the exact combination of dirty talk and roughness needed to turn me out.

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

This storyline was good but at times I felt like it was a bit too plain, like there was a certain naivety in the way things happened. I don't know if that fully describes my feelings but it is what it is. Anyway, I did like the book.

The love scenes are intens and descriptions are good.

If you want a quick hot story I recommend this one.

Review: Master of Solitude

Master of Solitude Master of Solitude by Cherise Sinclair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Emotions and actions

Mallory is a strong but sensitive women, Sawyer is a ex convict who saves her and a teenager from a gang members assault. Mallory thought she found her hero but he wants nothing more to do with her after their one night stand. What she don't know is that he has his own reasons......

I love this story and I absolutely adore Mallory. Sinclair has a tendency to write about characters that has experienced trauma in their life but this time she has written a strong, well adjusted and grounded women who still needs someone to "rock her world"

Sawyer is the broken one, with childhood trauma and PTSD. After a tragic accident he ends up in jail and now when he's out he just wants peace and quiet.

I think the storyline was good, I was kept on the edge all the time about when the gang was going to come after Sawyer for killing one of their members during a prison riot.

The love between Mallory and Sawyer builds slowly but not to slowly and the emotions are strong. The way Sinclair describes love scenes is unique and it's always a joyful read.

No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues is a winner in my book.

This is book 8 in this series but they can be read as standalone. Now I just wonder if we're going to get Hector, Wyatt and Morgan's story???

Sunlight Sunlight by Seth King

Poetry

This story was a wonderful, intense, sad poem. I cried my eyes out for Harry and Fred and their lives never being what they wanted because of society's narrow minded views.

King writing is filled with emotions and colours, even at the darkest moments in this story.

I've never, ever cried so hard before when reading a story and I think everyone should read this story because it is important to understand that we are all different and we should be able to accept the diversities in humans. But most important: LOVE IS LOVE ❤️ In any shape or form.

Thank you for a wonderful story!

Ray of New Ray of New by E. L. Todd
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: May 23th

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

If you've read the 5 first books in this series you know this is Ryker's story. He meets a women he can't resist but she don't want a relationship so they start with a one night stand. And then things just progress from there.

What I really liked in this book was that Ryker in some ways have evolved emotionally.
What I don't like about this series is the intense feelings a person can have for two different persons, it gets to emotional but then again it's how it can be in real life. I love all the emotions at the same time so I'm a little conflicted.
In the beginning of the book I was thinking: why, why, why......don't you just tell her brother that you want to date his sister!!!!!!!!!

I like the way this author writes, it's easygoing and with lots of dialogues so I can just sit back and let the story be taken into my mind without no worries.

The characters are well written and the feelings are very good described. I think all the reflections going on in their minds is one of the things I appreciate most in this authors books. It makes me see the characters as real persons.

The love scenes are as usual well written and with much intensity, but sometimes I get the feeling if the story of Ryker only contained half the love scenes it would have been enough with one book.

Warning ⚠️ The book ends in a cliffhanger.....sort of...... for me, I rarely like a book to end the way it did but this time.....many because that allows me to make my own happy ending. It's just a feeling I got in the end that made me accept this ending.
In some peculiar way this ending was satisfying but also not satisfying.

This was a 5, not solid but still 5 wobbly stars ✨

Review: Fearless

Fearless Fearless by R.G. Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wonderful mmm romance

This book is the one in this series that made me cry the most and I still loved it.
I've never read a mmm story before but it was hot and wonderful.

The traumatic childhood of Rory could break your heart ❤️
Even though there aren't to many details the author manages to write it in a way that makes you understand more than is said.

And the love between the three friends is unique;
“I want to wake you up like I used to every morning. Then I’ll wake David while you watch."

If you like gay love you get it in a big dose here. The author knows how to write hot scenes but there's so much more to this story.

If you haven't read about the Finn family before I recommend you start, and start with the first, this is the seventh. It can be read as a standalone but there are many of the characters from the other books that will make you wish you knew them.

Review: Wicked Bond

Wicked Bond Wicked Bond by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wonderful

Bridger is not happy when Maggie is dumped at his house beaten and unconscious by a man he hardly know. However he can't say no when he finds out she is in danger.

I love Bridger Paine and I cried for his lost childhood. This is a story filled with sexy content, so much that it should seem to be too much, but I think it's necessary to the story because of Maggie and Bridger's background.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I think the build up is perfect, not to slow and not to quick.

The way Bridger is distancing himself from Maggie is heartbreaking and I feel for her but also for him. He don't feel like he's worthy of her and is afraid of destroying her. Maggie has no way of understanding why he distances himself and she's struggling with her own issues after using her body to get what she needs in her past.

If you like hot, meaningful stories that probably will make you cry, take a look.

Review: Wicked Ride

Wicked Ride Wicked Ride by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Always a joy

Sawyer Bennett always delivers in my opinion, this was a great read and with amazing characters that are well written with lots of feelings.

Auralie is selling her virginity to the highest bidder but before that her "owner" makes men take a test drive. Logan can't help to feel that she don't want this. Can he find out her secret and will she find his?

The way the author writes makes me want to jump in to the world she creates but at the same time I don't want to be in it. It's the classic good/bad story but with a enormous amount of emotions and the love scenes....wow.....they are rough but tender.

There is a good amount of dialogues and no unnecessary description of surroundings which makes me forget the world around me.

The book has all the things I like about a story even a bit of hard crying(on my end too)

Can't wait to read Bridger's story, and isn't that a clever move to have a Epilogue that makes yo want run for Amazon to get the next book......

Review: Shameless

Shameless Shameless by R.G. Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There, I just doubled the stars!!!!

I've been waiting for Seamus story because he's a special person, so caring and selfless that I hoped he find someone who would take care of him. And then Bellamy shows up with all his wealth and persistence. But Seamus never seen himself as gay or.....??????

With every book in this series I think "this can't be as good as the previous....." and again I'm wrong.

This is a story about a caring, dedicated, loving, selfless father who will do anything to protect his family even if it means sacrificing his own heart. The one person that can win his heart won't take no for an answer. I ended up crying like a baby at the end of the book.

This author has a way of writing that's so full of emotions and love that I'm literally a ball of feelings when I'm finished.

I loved this story the must because of the kids and how they do as kids always do; they don't push anything under the carpet, they says it how they see it.

The chemistry between Seamus and Bellamy I'd sizzling and hot and the love scenes is drool worthy.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues and there are no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings so I get lost in this story.

Now I'm finished with all the Finn's I have on my kindle but I want more, more, more............

Review: Kept Safe

Kept Safe Kept Safe by Lucy Wild
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

Jack kidnaps Bella and it's for a good reason (in his mind at least) he wants to keep her safe. Can she be kept safe when he only wants to keep her for himself?

I like this story, it was a dark and mysterious story although not overly intriguing. It was something missing to really give me the creeps.

The writing style is straight forward and has a good amount of dialogues which in itself makes the story right up my alley.

The characters are well described but I sense a lack of emotions at times, then again other times there are plenty.

The storyline is good and it's easy to follow so it makes me captivated to see what comes next.

There are som very hot love scenes, but the descriptions of the BDSM scene was to hastily and I didn't feel that the use of equipments was necessary. But that's just my opinion.

The book was a hot great 4 star story!

All the Finn's

I loved to revisit all the people from previous books in this series and that's what you get in this story. And finally Jeremy and Owen is married, their love is strong and unchanged.

Great as ever and I almost skip my other books to go to the next in this series but I leave Seamus for a while so I can get some ARC's read.

If you have read the other books in this series it's no point stopping now, I feel like it's just getting better and that might be because I get to know the characters more and more with each book.

Love, love, love ❤️

Review: Summer Stock

Summer Stock Summer Stock by Vanessa North
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

I like this story, it was sad, happy, funny and laced with love. In the beginning I didn't care much for Ryan but he grew on me.

Ryan is hiding in North Carolina after tabloid scandals and he has a one night stand the first night in town. After being told not to mess with Troy, his one night stand he try but can't resist.

Troy's struggles with anxiety is heartbreaking and that's the part of this story that is closest to my heart because of my own experiences. Naturally it makes me love him more than Ryan.

The writing style is easygoing and has lots of dialogues so this was a great read. And the lack of unnecessary descriptions of surroundings makes it even more enjoyable.

I think the characters are well written and with a good amount of feelings so I got to know them fairly well.

The love scenes are good with a lot of steam to them without being disgusting. It's a well written hot and sweet romance.

The dislike I had for Ryan in the beginning is the reason it's a very good 4 star read for me.

This is m/m romance with adult content. Enjoy!

Big Daddy: The Complete Daddy Series Big Daddy: The Complete Daddy Series by B. B. Hamel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

Five books in a bundle for pure entertainment. Some of them I've read earlier and there are links to my reviews on GR.

MAN OF THE HOUSE

Carter marries Emily's mother to save his reputation but the one he really wants is Emily.

I didn't like this one as much as I liked the other books and I'm sad to say it only reaches 3 stars for me.
I don't know if it was the story in itself that bothered me or maybe it was the fake marriage.......
But for me the story seemed shallow and not very realistic.
When that's said, the author delivers in the love scenes, they are hot and heavy.
There are lots of dialogues and no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings so it should be great.

Sometimes it's hard to describe what didn't make it for me, could be my state of mind that day.....

We all know it's a matter of taste so don't let my review scare you away, I'm not. I will read more from this author.

YOUR DADDY: A DARK ROMANCE

Carson rescues Lucy from freezing to death when she arrives in Alaska without money and clothes. He wants her even if he is much older then her and he has trouble coming his way.

I liked this story, but it was a slow build up.
The characters are well described and the storyline is very good even though I felt something missing.

The writing style is straight forward and has a good amount of dialogues but I can't help feeling there is emotions missing. It all seems a little clinical.

Some hot scenes and a little action save it from being under 4 stars ✨

Ravenous Ravenous by R.G. Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ménage at its best

Love this ménage, it was intense and sweet and I could see these 3 living and loving in the future.

Jen is the little sister of a bunch of brothers and male cousins. She has had her fair share of bad experiences with men and one ex in particular. She is feeling stalked by Trick, a friend of her brother and she's not entirely shore if she likes it or not. At the same time she takes a class and the meeting with her professor is sizzling. What she is not aware of is that Declan and Trick are on and off again lovers......

The Finn family is a enjoyable read and I just keep repeating myself.

Love, love, love ❤️ this book.

If you like ménage and hot, sweet stories read, but you should read the other books in this series first.

Another 5 star

Brady and Ken are working together to find a person that's disappeared, the chemistry between them is sparkling but there are many differences. Can they work through it?

Again a story I'm reading on full speed because I can't put it down.
The storyline is great, perfect build up.
The characters are well written with lots of emotions.
The story is full of dialogues.
The surroundings are described but only what you need to know.
The chemistry.......oh my......the chemistry is sizzling and there are some great love scenes (without saying to much; the police officer scene....hotness)

And that's my review, read if you love m/m stories with adult content.

Hot chemistry

Another great read from this author, this is going to be a marathon of reading, I have 3 more books in this series already on my Kindle.

Stephen and Natasha has had a no strings attached relationship for 16 years. Now he asked her to help him in an attempt to stop a man from blackmailing people. Will pretending their relationship is real in front of other people make it more difficult or.......

The storyline was great and the characters are well described. I love this authors writing style, it's so easy to read and I get lost in the book.

There are lots of emotions and hot scenes but the most important part for me is that the author describes the feelings between the characters so well that I practically feel like I'm there observing.

This author is on my list of authors to automatically read when there's a book showing up.

Curious Curious by R.G. Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow

Wow, what a book, it was beautiful, raw, sweet and full of emotions. Normally I like to read a book from both characters POV but this one made it to my 5 star mark without that.

Jeremy is longing to get a taste of Owen, his friend for many years, but he is straight. However at a party when Jeremy is in action in a threesome he find Owen standing in the doorway looking. He's curious........will Jeremy keep his heart intact if he helps him explore?

The writing style is to the point and still manage to be filled with emotions, and there are lots of dialogues so it's no wonder I loved it.

There are a lot of hot scenes that are well written and the characters are well described so the scenes are full of feelings.

Jeremy longing to belong to the Finn family is coming through all along the story and it's making him vulnerable. At times I think Owen don't see that because he has this awesome family and for him Jeremy is already part of this.

I love this book and can't wait to get to know the rest of the Finn family.

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Valentine travels to Alaska because she is tired of the metrosexual men in New York and she hopes to meet some "real" men. She meets Logan, the chief of police in East Merritt. Is he the "real" man she's been looking for??????

I love this book, Valentine and Logan are a perfect match!

The story is fun, intriguing and romantic. Valentine is described as down to earth with a little high class girl qualities, I found her very likeable. Logan is easygoing, fun and a true gentleman although as all men he can jump to conclusions.

I've always liked this author and her books are joyful to read because I feel like I get to know the characters well and there are lots of dialogues in her books which I always enjoy.

There are no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and there are lots and lots of feelings written in to this story.

The love scenes are hot as always........this is adult content......

One of the things I love the most is that the build up in the story is excellent, not to slow and not to quick, just the right pace in my opinion.

I disappeared in this story and had trouble putting it down. There is something about her writing style that makes me want to read just on more page........

Very good 5 star read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Forsaken Forsaken by B.B. Hamel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a dark romance, but it was also some sweetness to it and that made it a respectable 4 star read for me.

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

Grace is kidnapped and held captive by Gio who is suppose to make her a good slave.

The psychological game Gio is playing with Grace is well written and described in a way that make me feel for him and not only Grace. The darkness in him is overwhelming in the beginning but something changes in him over time.

I like the writing style and there is a good amount of dialogues which makes the story easy to read. There is no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and the story is not packed with feelings, although some feelings is put in to it.

I'm not overly excited about dark stories but this one was good. And if you like dark romance I recommend it.

SEX IN THE STICKS
A Love Hurts Novel
SAWYER BENNETT
RELEASE DAY – MAY 2, 2017

Wake up and feel the wood! In the first of a series of irresistible standalone romances from New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett, a city girl rediscovers love and lust in the Alaskan wilderness.
Valentine French may be the sassiest dating columnist in New York City, but the abundance of metrosexuals in her adopted metropolis is seriously cramping her style. Where are the beefy all-American boys? Hoping to find some inspiration, Val heads to Alaska, where the men outnumber the women fifteen to one and wrestle grizzly bears for sport. Or so she can only imagine. Suddenly the most eligible bachelorette in a town full of horny lumberjacks, Val is writing her best columns ever. But if she doesn’t get her nose out of her laptop, she just might miss out on Mr. Right.
Logan Burke is the sheriff of the little podunk town that Val finds so charmingly backward. He’s not that different from the guys she’s using for her little experiment; it’s just that one date would never be enough for Logan. As he listens to Val complain about love over beers in the local tavern, he realizes that she can’t see the forest for the trees. Because if she would ever give up her Prada bags and fourteen-dollar martinis, Logan would give her the only luxury that matters: his heart.

One of the authors I've read several of books from is
Lauren Blakely

If you want to read one of my reviews of her books you can click
her

Here's an excerpt from her new book, I have not read it yet and you might ask how I can recommend it??????
It's because of my experiences with her other books. I will read it as soon as I can and then review it.

I point to the guy behind the glass. “You want Peter’s number?”

“I don’t know. Do you think he likes piňa coladas and making love in the rain?”

For a flash second, a burst of wildfire curls through my veins. It feels like white-hot jealousy. Which is ridiculous since she’s not making love to Peter.

Or me, for that matter, obviously.

I fight off the envy with a full dose of sarcasm. “Have you ever noticed you never have a good pair of headphones when you need them?”

She huffs. “Message received. I’ll just shut up and read a book.” She reaches for her phone on the seat, but accidentally knocks it to the floor of the car. I lean down to pick it up, and when I hand it to her I see her playlist.

Nena’s “99 Luftballoons.”

The Go-Go’s “Vacation.”

Madonna’s “Like a Virgin.”

I smirk. That’s too fucking adorable. “You like bubblegum pop?”

Her cheeks go red. “There’s nothing wrong with bubblegum pop,” she says as she tries to grab her phone from my hand.

I. Can’t. Resist.

I don’t know what comes over me, but I’m pretty damn sure it’s the way this girl needles me. It’s her French maid routine. It’s her pushing all my buttons. It’s the way she detests me.

I hold her phone behind my head.

“Max,” she says, in a perfect plea. God, it’s hot. I can hear her saying it in bed.

I feign surprise. “Oh, did you want your phone back, tiger?”

Her eyes widen when I use that word. Frankly, I’m surprised I said it. But she is a tiger, especially right now as she leans across the seat, reaching for it.

Damn, I’m an asshole. And yet, I can’t seem to stop playing keep-away with her phone, jamming it far behind me so that it hits the side of the car. She lunges for it, thrusting her arm out, but only hitting my forearm.

She swats me. “Give it to me.”

My brain short-circuits. She would sound hot saying that bent over the bed.

Then in a flurry, she unbuckles her seat belt and lunges at me.

Foul play indeed.

She’s on me. She’s fucking on me. She climbs, stretching high, her tits near my motherfucking face, so help me God. They are saggy, drooping, ugly breasts.

Except they’re not.

They’re perfect. Lush, ripe.

Like her sweet perfume scent. Like her cinnamon breath that flutters across my cheek as she rises higher. As she reaches, her T-shirt rides up, revealing a sliver of her stomach.

I’ve never seen anything so sexy in my life.

I don’t move. I don’t breathe.

I simply try not to grow more aroused. But then she wraps one hand around my wrist and pries the phone with the other as her breasts smash against my eyes.

Man down.

OUT TODAY!!!

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

My eyes are read and puffy I cried so hard for Ashton...... the misunderstood boy craving love ❤️
Valdrin only wants to protect this misunderstood boy.......

I think this story was a big kick in the butt to the social media and people who believe that all you see in the media is true. The fake picture people get on social media is more than some of them even reflect on. The persons real life is so much more than you see on Instagram.

In addition I think this is a story about love that's so strong it will survive despite all the obstacles.

The writing style is easygoing and with just the right amount of dialogues to make me enjoy this book so much I forget my surroundings.

This author has a way of packing his stories with so much feeling that I'm a mess after reading. I cried for the lonely little boy that never felt loved, and the boy that felt bereft of his mother because her job kept her away from him.

The story has a good build up and I feel like it is written with much emotions and those emotions comes through without being mushy or some sort of cliche.

I could go on and on but I will only conclude with if you haven't read m/m romances before this is one of the authors I will recommend. 5 shiny ✨
