Review: Interborough

Interborough Interborough by Santino Hassell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Satisfied revisiting

Just when I thought David was being the biggest idiot he turns sweet.
I adore all of the books in this series but in the beginning of this book I was so frustrated with David and his insecurities. When I see the story as a whole I see how it all is connected.

I liked the way David and Raymond was forced to reflect on their relationship and what they each contribute to it, both good and bad.

The emotions are overwhelming when I read and I like that even if I'm crying my eyes out on occasions.

At first I was a little afraid to start reading this book because they had their happy ending and I didn't want anything ruining it, but I'm actually very satisfied with a revisit not only with them but the other characters too.

There are lots of dialogues and no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings as always in Hassell's books so I enjoyed.

The author has a excellent way of describing the characters with lots of emotions and I feel like I know them so well by now.

Good 4,5 story. M/m adult content.

Review: First and First

First and First First and First by Santino Hassell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Glorious read

Hassell delivered again, I loved this book, however I did miss Olivers POV. I like it best when I can have both main characters POV.

The characters are persons filled with issues they can't handle on their own and I love the way the author makes them give each other strength to get their shit together.

Caleb is insecure but overprotective and feels the need to be "perfect" even though I don't get the impression that he is aware of it. Oliver challenges him and makes him reflect on why he is the person he is and is it what he really want?

Oliver is not a relationship person but Caleb is the person that makes him reflect on his pattern of avoiding relationships.

What a light, hot, joyful read. Next please!

Oh, almost forgot; the last sentences in this book is going to stay with me a while 💜

Review: Sunset Park

Sunset Park Sunset Park by Santino Hassell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wonderful story

I love this story and I can't say I have anything to say that's negative, it was simply sweet and full of emotions.

This was a story filled with emotions and I admit I cried at times.

I'm full of admiration for Hassell's way of writing a story that captivates me from the beginning. It's so enjoyable to read, easygoing and full of dialogues.

I'm on a reading marathon because I have to read all of the books in this series in a week but it's not going to be a hardship if this book is a indicator.

I'm jumping on to the next and hope that one is as good as this one.

This was a strong 5 star m/m romance with a lot of emotions and hotness. Adult content!

Game On Game On by Olley White
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sweet about friends to lovers

I liked this book, it was sweet and romantic with a little hotness. I would have liked more of the hotness but it's a good 4 star read.

It's easy to read with enough dialogues to hold my interest. There are no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and that makes me a happy reader.

I liked the way the author described Max's mind working to come to the realisation that he was attracted to a man.

The way they meet was funny.

Good story about friend to lovers and GFY.

Review: Will Game for Cookies

Will Game for Cookies Will Game for Cookies by Allyson Lindt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC and are freely giving my review of it*

I loved this story but what I really missed in this story was the guys point of view..... And that's the reason for 4 stars ✨

Andi find her boyfriend with another women the day before she's meeting her two gaming friends for the first time. Kane and Isiah offers to help her learn to ask for what she wants....but will she get what she really wants?

The storyline was good and the characters are well described and I absolutely liked the love scenes, very good but not the best. Again, if I had gotten some input on the guys thoughts and feelings I think it would have been even better.

What I truly loved was the lack of unnecessary descriptions of the surroundings and the amount of dialogues, just my kind of story.

The learning lesson for Andi was that you shouldn't be afraid to ask for what you want and that's a recognisable issue for me.

This is book one in a series and it's HEA but I would love to read about Julie so I'm probably going to buy that book.

Whiteout Whiteout by Ann Grech
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Conflicted feelings

I'm conflicted in my opinion of this story. I love some of it and some not so much, but when I sum it up it's a medium 4 star read for me.
The writing style is great, to the point and with lots of dialogues. Some descriptions of surroundings but not so much that it was annoying.
Something that takes me by surprise is how a person can be straight and then meet the "right" person and turn gay on the dime. But than again who hasn't once in their lifetime been in denial and didn't want to scrutinise their own life.
The storyline was good and I would like to read the next book because it ended suddenly and I felt like there should be a little more. I was happy to see there's another book after this.....

Good 4 stars

Reef and Ford continues their journey. I like this one too and I feel like they got more closure in the end of this story.
The writing style is good and the characters are well written with lots of feelings.
I like the bantering between the guys and the bonus "interview" was great.
I don't know why I can't get that wow feelings about these books but sometimes I just can't put my finger on what's lacking.
Because this is a good 4 star read and I hope you will try it.

Review: Tying the Knot

Tying the Knot Tying the Knot by Casey Cameron
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

I like this story, but I thought it was a little slow in the beginning.

Fox is a Omega that's left by his Alpha right before his wedding. When he gets tipsy and his sisters encourage him to hit on a man at the bar he does so. The man turns out to be his high school boyfriend, the one that got away.........

I'm a very open minded reader and read almost everything but I still have genres I prefer reading. This is not one of my preferred genre but the author did a great job in getting me in to this story.

The author had some great references to "The Lord of Ring" movies that made me giggle, I love that because I'm a big fan of those movies.

It's a well written story with good described characters and the storyline is great in my opinion. (I've said my negatives in the beginning) There are very good love scenes and there are lots of emotions and intensity in them.

Another of the things I like about this story is that it's no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues.

I also liked the little snippets of how their relationship was in the past, that made me feel like I got to know them even better.

This story was fun, sweet and hot. I'm giving it 4 stars and that just reflects how much I liked it despite not having all the love for Alpha and Omegas.

So to conclude, if you love this genre you will love this story. And I would totally read what this author writes in this genre because it's well written.

Review: Secret Daddy

Secret Daddy Secret Daddy by Lucy Wild
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

Donna is moving to a new place to get away from her old life, George lives a isolated life, only visiting a BDSM club on occasion. But they both have secrets and when they meet there's a connection they can't resist. Can they trust each other?

This was one of the better d/lg stories I've read.

I loved the first meeting, it was mysterious and dark, but I got the feeling Georg was a caring person and Donna is seeking someone to take care of her.

The build up is very good and I especially liked the little game they had going between them.

I think I was a tiny bit disappointed at one point in the story (after visiting the club) when I thought they should have spent the night together.

But the author kept building the story and I was very satisfied with the end and think this is the best on I have read of Wild's stories.

There are feelings and emotions involved in the descriptions of the characters and that makes me feel that they come alive. For me that is important in a story. If I should have wished for something it's that the love scenes was even more intense, with more graphic descriptions, but that's my personal opinion.

All in all this was a 5 star story, although a little weak.

Review: Lost Rider

Lost Rider Lost Rider by Harper Sloan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date April 25th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Leighton is left in the dust by the boy she loves after he reject and insult her so profoundly that her heart hasn't healed even 10 years later when he returns. Maverick left the only way he knew how, but now he's back and hoping to win Leighton's heart again.

I'm totally in love with this story. This story is showered in love, it rains down on my brain from the beginning. I'm blown away by the enormity of the emotions the author is describing.

There are some serious life lessons in this story and I'm impressed by the view this author seems to have on life and all it's challenges.

One of the more heartbreaking chapters was the one with the cowboy hat, how a hat can have so much meaning in the story is both understandable and not.......

This cowboy is a gentleman through and through even when he is rough and rumbling on. The women he loves has the view of life only a old soul have, but also the playfulness of a child.

I'm not a big fan of old love renewed but this story is more about love that never died.

There are some hot scenes in this book but they are also intensely emotional so in my opinion they are great.

If you like a story that makes you feel all the spectre of feelings and have a HEA this is definitely a book I recommend.

Review: Too Hard to Forget

Too Hard to Forget Too Hard to Forget by Tessa Bailey

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Review coming, I just have to come down because........wow!!!!!!

********** REVIEW************

I love this story so much I could write a book about it........joke aside, I will try to make the review not all over the place but I can't promise anything because this book just broke me.

Peggy is returning to her old university for alumni weekend in hope of closing the doors for good on a relationship from her past. But she seems to have awoken something that never really can be closed. Elliot has never forgotten Peggy even though he has tried. Will they make it to the end without breaking each other apart?

I read many really good books throughout the year but this author always gets to me in a way no other can. The rawest of emotions and the most special characters makes me feel like I'm sitting by the ocean watching the changes in the sky and hearing the waves washing over rocks. And that is my favourite spot to be, so her books is like the ocean and I just let the feelings and impressions wash over me.

There is a sense of sin layering the story in the beginning. Older man, younger women, but as you get deeper in the story you forget about age and just see the characters deep care for each other.

When I started reading this series I didn't like Peggy much, she seemed so fleeting and shallow, but this book put me in my place. She's everything but those things, she's caring, strong, loving and resourceful and so many other things. There are layers of Peggy and I think the only man who can understand her is Elliot. And then again maybe it's because he has his own layers. He's struggling with his conscience and his religion.

Halfway through the story I thought; oh, he got to make a grand gesture or he's never getting her.

The conversation between Elliot and Alice was my breaking point, I cried for them both and it was so beautiful written. It hit me on so many levels not only because I'm a parent but because it speaks of love in such a honest way. I cried for Alice who has lived with a father that has only been there for her on the most basic level and not with his emotions. And I cried for Elliot who had switched off his emotions and lived like a dead man for years.

This is my favourite so far in this series now but the chanting in my head won't stop: Belmont, Belmont, Belmont.......... I'm so excited to read the last one in this series. We've been teased with Belmont and Sage throughout the whole series so; bring it Tessa, I will have me handkerchief and comfort food ready.

This has been one of my longest reviews ever and to say some last words; if you like books with well written characters, lots of emotions and a good storyline, read this book! This is a series so I recommend reading them in order although every book has a HEA for each of the couples.

Review: Playing the Spanish Billionaire

Playing the Spanish Billionaire Playing the Spanish Billionaire by M.K. Meredith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: April 24th.

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

This was a great read, it was fun, sweet, hot and interesting. I love the descriptions of Barcelona and it made me want to go back there and see it in another way after reading this book.

London and Mateu is both lying to each other when they meet. They spend time together and develop feelings for each other. Can they come clean and will they ever trust each other after all the lying?

The scene at the nude beach was hilarious and it made my day, still giggling when I think about it.

The writing style is easygoing and fun, and it stays true to the genre by taking me into another world. I'm usually not very found of books that describes the surroundings in details but in this book it wouldn't have been the same without it.

The characters, both the main and the secondary characters are described with a lot of emotions and that made them more familiar to me.

Feelings and emotions are present throughout the story and there is one hot love scene. This book is not packed with hot scenes but more of a suspense story.

I thought the ending was a little abrupt but maybe a epilogue would have done the trick. I don't know and honestly the story was great so I'm good.

Review: His Family of Convenience

His Family of Convenience His Family of Convenience by Amy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date April 24th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

I liked this story and I think one of the reasons is because of the prospect of rejoining a family. Families are what makes my heart soften.

I was however frustrated with both Marco and Senna at some point in this story. Him, because he shouldn't have given in to his family for so long. Her, because she should have had more guts to stand up for herself and her son.

In the beginning I thought Senna was going to be sassy as hell but she winded it down to my disappointment. I still felt respect for her because of the choices she made later on in the story.

The writing style is easygoing and fun and contains a lot of feelings and I do love to laugh and cry reading a book. When the author also has the capability to make me feel like I participate in the story without using unnecessary descriptions of the surroundings I'm sold.

A fair amount of dialogues and good descriptions of the characters was also contributing to the enjoyment of this book.

There are some good love scenes but that's not what makes the book good. What makes it good is feeling the love between the characters. I also have to say the storyline was for me one of the better ones.

This book is a good 5 star read if you want sweet and romantic HEA.

When Sadie is auctioned off at a charity event she have to go on a date with a man she don't know. Gavin byes a date with the young girl because he can't resist her when he first gets a look at her. Her family don't approve of him but she wants him anyway....it's going to be a long journey.

I liked this story very much, it's entertaining and interesting. The storyline is good and it has a great build up.

I like that Sadie is maturing through the story and in the end she fiends her own destiny(all thought with a little help) and Gavin is letting her grow.

The thing I really liked was that it was just the right amount of d/lg layer in this story, it didn't get embarrassing but more of a excitement trough the story.

In conclusion I must say this was a hot and sweet story in this genre. One of the better ones. 5 good stars!

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Another good story from this author and there must be more because the ending......oh, but the couple got their HEA don't worry.

Avery had to say goodbye to her career because of a serious accident and is now working at her parents hotel. Ry comes back to the Morgan farm leaving his twin and the wild living. He wants peace and quiet and he wants Avery, but can he convince her of that?

I love the Morgan men and I love the writing style of these books, it's easygoing and fun. The lack of unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and right amount of dialogues makes it joyful to read.

There is a lot of feelings from the past driving Ry to act the way he does towards his twin, a lot of guilt and shame. How bad it is will be revealed throughout the story. Avery has a way of handling his challenges that's helping him cope with it. There are som good love scenes that's not over the top hot but good and sweet.

One of the things I enjoy very much is the potential of stories to come with all the secondary characters. I hope for HW's story next, and of course Rachel's.

If you like a good looking, caring, protective cowboy and his great family you will enjoy this series. Even if each book can be read as a standalone I recommend reading it in order.

Murphy's Law Murphy's Law by Lori Foster
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

I liked this story but it had a little slow build up in the beginning.

Ashley is independent and is working hard to get herself through school, she wants no help. Quinton is rich and has a good eye to Ashley, he wants to help her. He also wants her in ways he never wanted a woman before.

The storyline was great as I said a little slow in the beginning but it got better and the last half of the book was great.

No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lot of dialogues makes it a good read.

The characters are well written and there are some feelings involved but not enough to make this a book I will cry over.

I admire Ashley's independence and Quinton's care for others. They made a great couple.

This is the second and last book out of "Law" series, I haven't read the first but I had no problem reading this book without reading the other one first. They can be read as standalone although I suspect when you read the first you want to read the next.

Good strong 4 star read.

Unique hotness

This series is a hot straight forward read and I love them.
I've said it before and I say it again; this is purely for entertainment and it's 5 hot stars entertainment.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues, in addition it's not full of unnecessary descriptions of surroundings so it's a great read.

There is protective alpha males and sweet females (but not without brains), it's ménage at it's best in my opinion.

But if you're looking for very serious topics and learning experiences you don't want to read this. If you're looking for a entertaining, fun, hot read, carry on......

Publishing date: April17th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

A story about second chances isn't my favourite but this one could probably be my favourite when it comes to this topic.
Sinclair and Shane have a history and she's keeping a secret from him. Can they start over when he comes back to town for a job assignment?

This was a great story and the words that come to mind is:
Perfect, intriguing, sweet, hot, tears and laughter, joy, impressed.

The writing style is easygoing but also intense. It seems to me that the author writes with very much passion in this story and that drags you in to all the emotions.

The characters are described in a way that makes me feel like they're old friends and I'm sad to leave them in the end. The epilogue made me want to read the other two couples stories, and I like that they can obviously be read as standalone.

Joyful read is what I like to call this, no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues, always a joy for me.

I especially like the storyline that was simple but interesting. Sometimes a storyline can be too simple but the way Shane's job was a part of this story it made it more interesting, for me at least.

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

This story ended just like I wanted but it was a long journey and I didn't like that it was some drama" but otherwise it was a great read.
Even though I think the journey was long and with some drama I think it was a learning experience for the characters, it tested their trust in each other and their friendships.

I love the connection between Rae and Zeke and the way the author describes it with a lot of emotions.

The way all the friends find together is not very likely to happen in real life but it's a book, so I love it!!!

And the first half of this story left me crying like a baby, omg all the feelings......

“Trust me, there’s nothing out there that can hurt me more than the way you just did.”

The writing style is easygoing with lots of dialogues and that makes this whole series so enjoyable.

I couldn't make myself put the books away so I read until my eyes where sore and my stomach roared. They are truly books I get lost in and that's what makes this a 5 star read. The whole series is great and if I should give an review of the series all together it would be 5 ray of stars!!!

Omg, I love, love, love and hate this story!!!!! How could he........... I'm a mess after finishing this story.

Finally Zeke and Rae is together and it's great, but Ryker is moving closer and stirring up things. Are Rae and Zeke making it to the finish line.

This is a intense story with a lot of feelings and the writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues so for me it was a quick read that I enjoyed tremendously.

The characters are well described and the storyline is great. It's building up to a point where you think it can't be any better than this and then at the end I thought; what the heck.......???????? I got to read the last book, like now!!!!!!

I've read all the previous books and I must say if you first start reading you can't stop. The author has a way of getting you hooked on the characters and you just want to know what's happening next.......

I highly recommend this series if you love hot, sweet and intriguing books.

Two love stories

I love Rae and Zeke and their journey towards love but it was a long ride, maybe a little to long for me. That's why it's 4,5 stars, almost 5.
The writing style is easygoing and it makes me not want lo leave the world of this book. There is lots of dialogues and no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings so I enjoyed to the fullest.
I like how the author describes the characters with all their emotions and faults, it makes them human to me.
One of the best things in this story is that you get a secondary love story between two other characters.
This is the third book in this series and it's so worth the read. If you want to read I recommend you start with the first.
This is a wonderful story with a bonus story within it.

New release today

I have reviewed this book already so this is an excerpt of it, hope you enjoy:

Excerpt: A Fare to Remember by Opal Carew

“Have you ever thought of doing something else? My company—”

“Stop right there,” she said, leaning forward, her eyes intense. “I like driving a cab. It’s what I want to do. So don’t judge me or try to help me out of my sad, impoverished life. I’m doing what I love. That’s probably more than you can say.”

He laughed. “Touché. As it turns out, though, I do love what I do. It has become a bit lackluster recently though. I could use something new to liven things up.”

“Is that what this is all about?” she asked, her gaze cautious. “Asking me in for coffee? Talking to me like I’m a date? You want to screw the lady cabbie to add a little excitement to your life?”

“If I was pursuing you, it wouldn’t be so I could screw you.” He leaned in closer. “I would slowly and purposefully seduce you, then take you to heights of ecstasy far surpassing anything you have ever experienced before.”

Rather than looking shocked, her eyebrow quirked up. “That would be more difficult than you think. Hank might have been a jerk, but he was the best lay I’ve ever had.”

He grinned. “I’m sure I could meet the challenge.”

* * *

Stevie couldn’t believe her own words. What the hell was she doing? But this guy, he was so … so … damn, he was so gut-wrenchingly sexy her hormones were boiling over in a wild fit of primal desire.

She reached for her coffee, purposefully brushing her hand against his. Electrifying desire sparked between them. She picked up her cup, making a decision she knew she would probably regret later, but right now, she didn’t care.

“All right.” Then she stood up and turned toward the door.

He followed her to the cab and got in, then she pulled away from the curb in silence.

She passed his hotel and drove another couple of blocks, then pulled down a side street. It was a quiet, out-of-the-way place she would sometimes use to grab a nap if needed during a long shift. She had friends in the neighborhood that looked out for her. She opened the door and got out of the cab. Her handsome passenger followed.

“Aren’t you going to come up to my hotel room?” he asked.

She walked toward him and rested her hand on his warm chest. A surge of adrenaline rushed through her.

“I think here will do fine.”

“You don’t like a comfortable bed?”

She smiled, loving the fact that she was keeping a man off balance for a change. She stroked up his chest, then along his jaw, the light dusting of whiskers sending tingles through her.

“I don’t need a bed.”

Then she cupped his cheeks and kissed him, feeling every bit in control.

Until his arms came around her and she felt herself crushed against his chest. He pulled off her hat and tossed it onto the roof of the cab. Her long blonde hair fell around her shoulders in waves. He drew back and smiled, running his fingers through the soft strands.

“That’s much better.”

Then she felt herself backed against the wall. He leaned against her, his cobalt-blue gaze locked on hers.

“If this is what you want, then that’s fine with me,” he murmured.

His hands glided up and down her body, sending tingles through her. He hadn’t touched any intimate place on her body yet, other than their joining of lips, but she felt he’d taken ownership of her whole being.

Then his hand glided over her chest and he cupped her breast. The feel of his warm hand surrounding her, even through the layers of clothing, started a blaze within her. She could feel her nipples harden with need.

He kneaded her soft mound while his mouth took ownership of hers again. His tongue pushed between her lips and drove inside.

Oh, God, she was feeling out of her depth. She didn’t know what she’d expected, but him being so comfortable and in control in this dark alley wasn’t it.

His hand found its way under her jacket, then inside her shirt. He cupped her breast, just the lace of her bra a barrier between them now.

“You feel good,” he murmured against her ear. Then he rocked his hips forward and she felt a thick bulge against her stomach.

A shock of awareness rippled through her. It hadn’t really hit home what she was about to do until she felt his erection pushing against her. She was about to have sex—in a dark alleyway—with a total stranger.

She felt his fingers unfastening the button of her jeans. She sucked in a breath and grabbed his hands, then pushed them away.

Review: Sightings

Sightings Sightings by Kari Gregg
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Weird and hot

This story was weird but it was really hot.
I've always had a soft spot for ghosts so this was interesting and fun to read. In the beginning I found it a little weird but it grew on me.
The writing style is easygoing has lots of dialogues.

Storyline: it was good.

The characters are well written.

I think if you like a little weirdness and some hotness this is a good short story. Entertaining!!!

It's m/m and adult content.
