Review: Small Town Daddy

Small Town Daddy Small Town Daddy by B.B. Hamel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.*

I liked this book but I thought it was a little slow build up in the beginning. Luckily it got better the more I read.

The writing style is good but not flowing as easily as I would wish.

The characters are well described and with all the emotions coming through in the story I can't help falling in love with them.
I liked that Lucas was described as a person that reflected over things and Mia was a little more impulsive before she reflected over things and then made changes in her decisions. I think that just showed their differences in personality and age.

There are no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues so it's easy to read.

The love scenes are hot and dirty, as I expected so I'm satisfied in that department.

Even if this is not my absolute favourite I thoroughly enjoyed the story.

If you like a hot story with some "meat on the bone" this is perfect.

Review: A Fare to Remember

A Fare to Remember A Fare to Remember by Opal Carew
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Publishing date April 4th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Before I wright the review; this is not just a romance, it contains BDSM, m/m and ménage.

Stevie drives a cab and on the night she finds her boyfriend cheating on her she ends up in a dark alley with a stranger enjoying her first time ever seduced by one of her fares. But it doesn't stop there........

Some books are in my opinion meant to have a deeper meaning, and som are for entertainment only. On that note I feel like this is in the last category and I was truly entertained.

One thing bothered me and that was a scene where Stevie was tied up by Reid and he used a ball gag without discussing any of this with her. When there is scenes involving this grade of BDSM I like to read that there is safety and communication before such a scene. For me it was the thing that made it 4 not 5 stars.

There's feelings in this book but they're more hot than sweet. That's totally fine with me because that's what I expect from this author.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues so I enjoyed this story very much.

There's many things I could have questioned about this story but I choose to see this as a story where the author has made use of artistic freedom and I enjoyed the story to the fullest.

I truly recommend this if you're looking for a easy and hot story.

Review: Hot for the Fireman

Hot for the Fireman Hot for the Fireman by Gina L. Maxwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC and are freely giving my review of it*

WOW...... this was....wow.....I can't even find words right now to express how much I loved this story......

A one night stand changes everything for Olivia and Erik when they discovers she's suppose to be his therapist. Erik wants more when they meet again and Olivia don't. Will Erik convince her that the night they had could lead to more if they let themselves try?

The storyline was somewhat familiar, but the way the author writes and describes their encounters makes this a special story for me.

The writing style is so intense and describing, not describing surroundings but the feelings and thoughts in the characters. I feel like I'm in the room with them and in their heads and hearts.

I loved the references to old movies and games, so the story made me giggle and nod in recognition.

I think PTSD is a very serious subject to write about and I liked the way it's described with care and consideration. I'm not claiming to know much about PTSD but I still felt that it was described in a way that made me understand more. I was frustrated with Erik when he wanted to withdraw from Olivia to save her from himself, but then again I understand in some ways because of my own experiences with issues I don't want to expose people to.

This was a book for both heart and soul, it spoke to my confused soul, and my heart who still believes in love.

This is a series I would love to follow further. I want to read about all the secondary characters in this story. I bet they have interesting stories.

Review: The Reluctant Cowboy

The Reluctant Cowboy The Reluctant Cowboy by Kate Pearce
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Realistic and sweet

The storyline in this book was in my opinion interesting and intriguing. This is not a fast, hot and steamy story, on the contrary it goes at a steady pace and it's sweet and realistic.

I like the writing style, it's easy and has enough dialogues so even if it's not a fast story it's never boring. I also got some giggles out of it.

The characters are well written with lots of feelings but there's no overwhelming descriptions of feelings so the realism is convincing.

The Morgan boys is worth following......

Review: Daddy's Here

Daddy's Here Daddy's Here by Lucy Wild
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

When Jake is sent to get Isabel home so she can marry his criminal bosses son he ends up trying to protect her. His boss will not like this so how can they get away from him?

I liked the storyline and characters but it was something about the abrupt ending that didn't make me totally satisfied.

The writing style is easygoing and enjoyable had it only been more dialogues, not through the whole story but at some parts. Another thing that makes me like this book was the lack of unnecessary descriptions of surroundings, just getting to the point and still feel like it was enough descriptions.

I really loved the Daddy/little girl part of this story and could see where the needs for this came from in the characters.

Suspense is not my favourite read and I prefer more hot scenes in a book but the scene in the changing room was flaming hot. More of that and I would have melted.

I would recommend this book if you like d/lg stories and suspense. To conclude my review I would say it was a nice 4 star read.

Review: His to Seduce

His to Seduce His to Seduce by Stacey Lynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Camden likes to have full control of her life after a tragic happening in her past, David likes to take chances and live life the fullest but he still have his own secrets. Will they open up to each other and try when the opportunity comes?

What a wonderful book, at times I got frustrated because Camden wouldn't open up to David but I still love the story to pieces.

There was so much feelings in this story and the characters are so well written that reading it gave me laughter and tears, anger and compassion, sorrow and happiness. I have to admit my feelings were all over the place, like a hormone crazy teenager...

The love scenes was intense and emotional, among the best I have read. There is no special adventurous scenes (except the first)but the author has a way of describing them in a way that makes them special. You can feel the affection pouring out of the characters in the scenes.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues, and there are no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings.
Even though it was easy to read this story, the underlying topic of this story really got to me in a way that nothing else ever have. That could have a connection to my own life experiences, but I also think the way the author made the topic real can make everyone see the seriousness of this topic.

This is the last book in this series if I'm not mistaken but they can all be read as standalone. I've not read the first but all the others and now I think I must add it to my collection so I can reread the series.

I highly recommend this book if you like intense love stories but also like to read something with meaningfulness.

Review: Wind River Cowboy

Wind River Cowboy Wind River Cowboy by Lindsay McKenna
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date:March 28th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Kira's way of processing her traumatic experiences from her time serving her country is a way that makes sense to me, through drawing and talking, and remembering her friends and the good times they had she manages to see the good in life.
Garret has not processed his experiences and is struggling with showing his emotions afraid to lose control.
Now they have found each other again as the only two survivors of their group after a ambush. Bar C ranch is a place for veterans to work and recover and here they share a house.

This is such a sweet, tender love story containing so much feelings that I cried several times. This author has written a book with powers to wreck me.

The writing style is a little more heavy then I usually like but in this story it works so well because it's needed to get all the emotions out in the open. I feel like I really now the characters when I finished this book.

It had enough dialogues to make me satisfied and there where som fun parts that made me laugh so it not all sad and horrible.

I liked the quiet protection Garret shows for Kira and she is showing her care for him in small ways of getting him to talk and open up.

The book handles PTSD as a very important subject, and the author seems to know what it's about in the way she writes. I find it admirable to write about such a heavy subject.

A wonderful book and I recommend you read the first two books in this series before getting to this one. It can be read as a standalone but there is many references to the other stories so if your curious like me read the 1 and 2 first.

Review: Master of the Mountain

Master of the Mountain Master of the Mountain by Cherise Sinclair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cherise never fail to give me what I want in a book, hot scenes, characters coming alive and a story that takes a hold of your heart and mind. Rebecca and Logan each have their challenges but together they work out perfectly. The book gets 5 stars because this is one of those story's that will linger a while in me. And those are the best.

My second time reading this and I still love this book.
The characters are well described with their flaws and all and there is no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings in this story.
Lots of dialogues and a light writing style that makes me enjoy this read so much even if it's the second time reading.
This series is on my reread list for sure.

Review: Danced Close

Danced Close Danced Close by Annabeth Albert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Kendall and Todd has their different ways and the dancing brings them together and helps them discover other sides to themselves.

I admire Todd for having made himself a life and I think he feel deep down that he deserves to have it all but is afraid to demand it.
Kendall is tired of being looked at like he some foreign creature when all he wants is to be true to himself in every way.

The story is sweet and has some real life issues that are serious but the author don't make them the main subject of the story. I like that very much.

The writing style is easygoing and the lacking of unnecessary descriptions of surroundings is a blessing.

I also like that there are lots of dialogues, and that the characters and their feelings are described in a way that makes me feel like I know them.

I've read one of the other books in this series and they are obviously standalone even if it's a series. I'm definitely going to read the other books in this series.

Great story and 5 star read.

Review: One Forbidden Night

One Forbidden Night One Forbidden Night by Sherri Hayes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Short and good

I liked this story but I wasn't happy about the ending, what happened to Kim and Justin, where did they end up???????

The author made it about one night and what a night..... she knows how to write hot and sweet stories, and this is what it i.

The writing style is light and full of dialogues and the characters are well described even though it's a short story.

I just want to know more...............

Review: Growing Pains

Growing Pains Growing Pains by Cass Lennox
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date March 20th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

I loved this book, Gigi and Brock are awesome but in a realistic way; they have flaws and troubles but they survive.

Gigi is a total diva but still I can't help love him because he had a challenging time growing up and when he moved away he could finally be fully himself. Only now, I feel like he's taking it to fare in som situations.
And Brock, I was so frustrated with him but my goodness did I cry for him halfway through the story. His childhood was not a walk in the sunshine but rather hiding in the shadows.

I liked the way the story kept alternating between the past and the present. Most times I find that irritating but I think it suited the story, because the characters past had coloured their present life in so many ways.

The writing style is easygoing and with lots of dialogues so I couldn't put it away.
And there where som fun parts:
"He moved past them, careful not to brush against Brock in case that somehow released gay rainbows into the air and told Tina they’d been making out and that their ...... had touched."

This is a book I feel like I should have a group of people to discuss with because I have so much to say about it. And I can't say it all in a review without spoiling the story for others.

So I hope someone read it and like it as much as I do, find me on GR and let's discuss:-)

Review: The Sexy One

The Sexy One The Sexy One by Lauren Blakely
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hot, sweet and fun

I absolutely fell in love with Abby and Simon. They're genuinely good and honest people. This story is uncomplicated and a joyful read.
This author knows how to keep my attention through the story. The writing style is easygoing and fun, straight to the point not a lot of talking around the real subject of matter.
I loved the texts and mails between them, and the phone calls......hotness level 10.....steamy.
Both Simon and Abby's love and devotion to his little girl is so sweet it's almost over the top...almost.....
Of course there's a little bump in the road on the way but it's so small it's insignificant. For the storyline it's good but for Abby it's embarrassing.......I feel her embarrassment and because I could see it coming I cringed just before....
The characters are well described with lots of feelings and when I leave a book thinking "I wish I could know how the rest of their lives turned out" I know I read a good book.

Review: Insight

Insight Insight by Santino Hassell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: March 14th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

I love this story and to think that it could not have been written is a shame, I'm so happy to have read it. I was a little sceptical in the beginning, because it's not a story I would have expected from this author but soon the story dragged me in and I was lost. There were so many surprising elements in this story that it was never boring

This is kind of a dark story but Trent is the light for Nate, he makes the story seem less depressing. I like to read different stories; light entertainment, hot sizzling stories, fairytale like stories and the ones that are like this; a little more dark and mysterious. I alway had an interest in psychic and all the different levels of this so this speaks right to my soul.

Who the guilty one is where not totally hidden but enough hidden to confuse me and make this a great suspenseful read. I suspected everyone at times but I couldn't see it clearly so kudos to the author for that.

The writing style is easygoing and with lots of dialogues, just how I like it, and when the author don't go to lengths at describing the surroundings I'm a very happy reader. For me, if the author manages to get me engaged and feel like I'm present throughout the story without heavy descriptions of surroundings he's done a good job.

The characters are well described and I feel so sad for Nate's insecurities and feelings of not being worthy. Trent brings him out in light in some ways with how he supports him at every corner they turn.

There is some hot love scenes in this story but what I love the most is the way the connection between Nate and Trent are described with so much feelings it tears at my soul and heart.

Although there is a HEA it's NOT...........just read......it will be worth it! (In my humble opinion of course)

Review: Cowboys & Virgins – Complete Bundle

Cowboys & Virgins – Complete Bundle Cowboys & Virgins – Complete Bundle by Alexa Riley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Excellent short hot stories

This is a perfect collection of short hot stories, but if you're looking for stories that are very meaningful and deep don't bother. If you're looking for really hot cowboys with a streak of jealousy and possessiveness then this is a great choice.

The love scenes are hot hot hot, and I love the way the characters are drawn to each other.

The writing style is easygoing and fun and lots of dialogues makes these stories an adventure to read. The characters are also described in a way that makes you feel like you know them fairly well.

I like to various my reading and sometimes I just need some good old fashion no meaning hot romance and these authors always delivers.
