Review: His Princess

His Princess His Princess by Alexa Riley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hot alpha male

I loved this short very hot story with a caveman king and his blushing princess.
The writing style is easygoing and fun and has lots of dialogues.
There are no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings just a short and straight to the point story.
And the dirty talk is good and exactly how I like it.
I'm going to read more of their stories when I want a light hot read that requires no more than enjoying and forget the world around me.

Gio don't know what Olivia really craves and Olivia don't know that Gio can give her exactly that......but she has to ask for it. That's the tricky thing; she's supposed to be a good girl.....

Wow.......this story is sizzling hot and fast......and I loved it. You know, sometimes i like that the story is more filled out, but sometimes it's just great with a story that's short and to the point. This is just a perfect short and to the point story. And the hotness level in this story is through the roof.

Even if it's a short story I felt like I got to know the characters very well and there are a lot of feelings written in to this story.

The writing style is easygoing and has a lot of dialogues, and I feel like this is a story you're not meant to look for deeper meanings in but just enjoy and escape the real world for a while. I must say that I did thoroughly do that.

I've read her Hands On series and loved that one so I was not surprised I loved this one, and it was refreshing to read a standalone after reading so many series.

If you're looking for a hot short standalone story, here's a very good choice!

Review: The Movie Star's Love Child

The Movie Star's Love Child The Movie Star's Love Child by Tasha Blue
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Good storyline

I liked this story but there are to many negatives to make me love it.
The storyline is very good but I didn't like the writing style, but that could be that I felt like there was a lack of feelings written in to the story.

The love scenes also lacked the intensity I expects from a really hot scene, only in the end I could feel som sort of affection between the characters.

I got the feeling that the author wanted to peek my interest with introduction to several secondary characters but it just made the whole thing a little chaotic.

The story just scratched the surface of the characters personalities and that made me a little sad because this story has so much potential. The story of a single mother finding her baby's father again has a sweetness to it that could have been so much more.

In the end I must point out that this is just my personal opinion others might find it more interesting.

Review: Her Secret Ranger

Her Secret Ranger Her Secret Ranger by Donna Michaels
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: March 6th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

When Brick and Beth starts a relationship Brick don't know that Beth is his best friends sister and Beth don't know that her brother is Brick's friend. There's a code and they both know about it........what happens when the truth comes out, because it is bound to come out at some point, isn't it?

I love this book, although I wanted to scream at Beth at times to come clean with the guys.

Beth and Brick's connection is so well described with so much feelings that I had tears in my eyes. The author has a way of writing that pulls me in to the story and keeps a hold on my brain, heart and soul. I laughed, cried and felt like I was beside the characters in the story.

The storyline is good and the writing style makes it easy to read. It doesn't make it less easy with all the dialogues, which I alway enjoy.

The love scenes was great and hot but still the author made them full of sweetness so it was a perfect mix in my opinion.

In addition to a wonderful love story this is also a story about the unique connection forming between people serving their country and facing challenges together. The respect some of them have for each other can last long after their home. At Ease Ranch is a place where they come together to live, work and support each other.

I'm fully prepared for Cord and his history with Haley, and that's what I also love about this series is that I get a little hint of the next story(hopefully)

Review: Daily Grind

Daily Grind Daily Grind by Anna Zabo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Emotional story

Lordy lord, Brian and Rob......I love them so much. Brian's insecurities about being bi and sweet sweet Rob who only wants someone to love.
It felt like Rob was really lonely and I just wanted to hug him and tell him it's going to be okay.......
Brian and his work schedule is taking a toll on him, will they hang in there.....

This was a emotional book for me to read since I could relate to Brian's need to have control and in the process works himself to the ground. The shop means so much to him and I can understand that, but is it worth sacrificing all the other good things in life...like love, family and enjoying the little things in life shared with someone important to you.

Rob is trying his best to understand since he has been through something similar himself. But I must say I would have kicked Brian long ago...

I could have written pages about this book but than I would have revealed it all and I would really like for people to read this enjoyable story without me spoiling it.

I must say that this author is for me one of the preorder authors because I always enjoy the books.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with emotions and all the dialogues makes it even more fun. This book in particularly hade so many puns about coffee and I giggled to myself.

The way the author makes the characters come alive is excellent and I laughed, cried and got exited.

The love scenes is exceptionally filled with emotions and you can feel the care they have for each other in every kiss and touch.

Now I'm just a rambling mess because I cried so in the end, but last I will say; if you like a good m/m romance with adult content please read.....

Review: Sunrise Canyon

Sunrise Canyon Sunrise Canyon by Janet Dailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: February 28th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Kira is a therapist who has suffered many losses in her life. She's taking care of Jake's five year old girl after his wife, Keira's cousin died. They now live on a ranch with Dusty who's Kira's grandfather. Jake didn't come home after ending service but Dusty looks him up and convince him to come home for a while. Jake is suffering from PTSD and is afraid of having the responsibility for a child.

I liked this story of broken hearts and anxiety, maybe because the author did such a good job of describing the struggles Jake have with his PTSD and how Kira supported him.

I thought the storyline was good and the characters are well described with lots of feelings. I felt so much compassion for what all these people have gone through.

The story has more descriptions of surroundings then I normally like but it was just in the beginning and I found it necessary to the story.

This is the first book in a series and I would like to read the rest of them even if it wasn't very hot and steamy. I found it relaxing to read a story that was sweet and romantic and with a HEA.

I recommend this story for anyone that wants to relax and read something sweet but still holds some heavy challenges for the characters.

Sweet stories

I liked this sweet and easy to read stories. They was a little over the top sweet at moments so that's why it's 4 stars, but they are solid.

The writing style is easygoing and to the point and there is a good amount of dialogues so it was a joyful read.

The characters are well described and there is lots of feelings in these stories.

This is the kind of stories that has a sort of fairytale quality about them but it's added some hot scenes so it's a grown up fairytale.
If you like that sort of fairytale this is all for you.....

I liked this book but at times I felt like the stories was to detailed in the descriptions of the the different scenes playing out in the club and I must admit I didn't enjoy it all equally.
These stories are excellent if you are curious about BDSM because it describes the variety of kinks very good.
The writing style in most of the stories are easy to read and with lots of dialogues so I enjoyed the stories but some more then others.
Because of the variation in the stories I have given them individual stars in addition to give the whole bundle 4 stars.

Review: Paris for One and Other Stories

Paris for One and Other Stories Paris for One and Other Stories by Jojo Moyes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Paris for one was a sweet story about heartbreak and overcoming it. It was sweet and romantic, some lacking in the descriptions of the main male character in my opinion but it was a good story.
I've never been to Paris but always wanted to go, and this book got me even more interested because of the descriptions of the city.
The build up in the story was good and the writing style is easygoing and fun. Even though the author had much descriptions of the surroundings it was very necessary so it just slides right in to the story

I read some of the other stories but not all of them, I think I can go back and read when I just want a short snappy story.

It's a 4 star read for me.

Review: Sweet Victory

Sweet Victory Sweet Victory by Gina L. Maxwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: February 28th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*
I thought this book was lovely, it had all the ingredient of a good story, a hunk of a hero, a sweet sassy heroine and a fake marriage.

Xander and Sophie decides to save her business from her uncle by getting married so she can get her inheritance. Then her uncle drags them to court and they have to prove that their marriage is real by living together for six months........

As always in this settings feelings develop between the characters, and even though the storyline is well known the authors way of writing makes this story really fun and sweet and seriously hot.

There is no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues which is absolutely my favourite reading material.

The story is full of feelings and made me very sympathetic to the characters and the life they lived.

Review: More Than Luck

More Than Luck More Than Luck by Casey Cameron
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: February 12th

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and are freely giving my review of it*

I loved this story, and the author wrote a story about a older man and a young man without making it weird. It was sweet and hot and absolutely great. If I should point out one thing that did make it a weak 5 stars for me it was all the game talk but than again it's just me.......

The writing style is easygoing and has a lot of dialogues so it's a fun read. I felt like I got to know the characters very well and Drey is a caring, sweet guy and Lucas is a hot mess but underneath he's a responsible guy with a good heart.

Even though it was no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings I felt like I was in the book with the characters. And there's lots of feelings in this story.

The build up was nice at just the right pace, working up to a great end.

I read the first in this series and found it very good but a little unstructured. This one was so much better, I couldn't put it down. Excellent work.
I recommend it if you like a sweet, hot story about two guys falling in love despite their age difference.

Review: Roman

Roman Roman by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: February 21th

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

Lexi is happy living in the moment and connecting to her family is important. Roman is used to every girl falling at his feet, Lexi is not like every girl. Can they make it work despite family challenges?

Not sure how I ended up crying already at 7% in this book but I did, the way it was written just got to me or maybe I'm just hormonal.....who knows....

I love this book, and when I received the ARC I ended up buying the previous books in this series because I know this authors work and has always been satisfied with it. This whole series has been very good and particularly this book is one of the favourites.

The writing style is easygoing and relaxing to read. The characters are well described and with lots of feelings so I feel like I know them well at the en of the story.
There are no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and enough dialogues to make the story hold my interest all through.

I think the honesty and communication between the characters are one of the reasons I like this book so much. Another reason I like the story is that it's a little realistic, not just over the top romance that I can't relate to.

I cried and laughed and got excited so it was a success in my opinion, and the bonus was two secondary characters that had their own story in the book.

My last comment; Roman and golden retriever puppies, Lexi never had a chance.....

Wonderful series!

Review: A Dom is Forever

A Dom is Forever A Dom is Forever by Lexi Blake
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great book from this author, I love it........ but I must say if you haven't read the previous books, you should before you start on this one. They're sort of woven together and it's like a family story.

Liam is trying to get close to Avery in order to find out more about her boss, but she's sceptical to his interest because of her own insecurities. Will he be able to convince her and protect her from the danger coming from someone he never would expect?

I liked the storyline very much and I thought the build up was good. The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues, just as I like it.

The characters are well described and I especially identified with Avery with her twisted body image, feeling that her body wasn't good enough. I think a lot of women can identify with her.
Liam I felt, was a little arrogant but I loved the way he worshiped her in the last half of the book. And he had gone through so much in his life so I felt for the young troubled boy he once had been.

And love scenes......what can I say......they was very good and hot, hot, hot.

I have to read the next.

Review: Hard Wired

Hard Wired Hard Wired by Megan Erickson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publishing date: February 13th

*I was gifted this ARC from the authors and are freely giving my review of it*

Megtino is a name to remember, this book just confirms it for me!
They created magic again with real characters having real struggles that I think many of us, including me can recognise and understand.

Ian's need to hide behind his different personalities is really heartbreaking for me and the anxieties he's going trough is so familiar. Jesse has so much insecurities about his own capabilities and is used even by his parents because of that. I felt so much for these two boys struggling with their issues and trying to function in society.

The authors writing style is easygoing and with lots of dialogues which makes is a joyful read and I'm always in a book hangover when I finish one of their books. There is no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings even if I get a feeling of being in the room with the characters.
When people around me says I'm so lost that I don't react when they try to talk to me it proves to me that this is a book I disappear in. I'm soooo happy to disappear for a while in these books.

Now I just hope Beau and Zane has a story and Megtino are set to write it. Pretty please!!!!!

Review: The Men with the Golden Cuffs

The Men with the Golden Cuffs The Men with the Golden Cuffs by Lexi Blake
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love the consept of two men, one gentle and one grumpy, if only they had been on the same page all the time, but then again it gave the story a little more reality.

The storyline was good and the build up nice and not to slow.

This author makes books that have me hanging on even if I still don't have time. The writing style is easygoing and with enough dialogues so I get hooked right away. As an addition there is not any unnecessary descriptions of surroundings, just right to the point. It amazes me that some authors just don't need unnecessary words to drag me in.

The characters are well described and I feel like I get to know them very well.

One of the great things about this series is that every book can be read as a standalone but you're presented with some secondary characters that makes you want to know them and their stories better.
I'm looking forward to Liam's story.
Good 4,5 stars.

They had a one night stand and didn't know they would be working together in a couple of days. When Rick understands who Seth is can he still keep his secret as his supervisor demanded?

This was a great story, I loved how rough and grumpy Seth was and Rick was all cool and easygoing. The chemistry between them came trough very well in the story.

I like the writing style of this author, it's easy and full of emotions at the same time. There is lots of dialogues so it's not boring at any point and no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings, which I so appreciate.

The plot was good and to some extent believable and the build up was great. I felt like the characters was described in a very good way so I got to know them and their feelings.

Some very steamy love scenes made it even better, so all in all this was a great 4.5 star read for me.

If you like a good m/m romance with some action in bed and outside of bed this is it. HEA is a bonus.

Review: Due Diligence

Due Diligence Due Diligence by Anna Zabo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Depth and feelings

Fazil is a consultant coming to Seattle to help get a firm back on its feet, where he find his old high school boyfriend Todd working. Neither has forgotten about each other but will they find together again when things get challenging?

I loved this book, it has a lot of the things I like; people with not perfect life but more realistic ones. Very good love scenes and a build up that's nice and not to slow.

This author has a way of reaching in to my feelings so I laughed and cried for Todd and Fazil. Most of all I felt for Fazil because he was so insecure and had so much guilt in him. I could really feel what he had gone through and was going through, although at times I wanted to slap him and say get over yourself!!!!! And Todd was so broken after they first split up, not saying more because; spoiler......

Anna Zabo has a way with words, she is one of my favourite authors, just a quote:

“No one’s good with love, Z. It’s messy, horrifying, and wonderful. You leave pieces of yourself all over whenever you open your heart. It’s a fight, a struggle, and so much work. It’s also the best goddamn thing in the entire universe. Love is bigger than everyone and harder than anything. You . . .” He stopped, his eyes moist. “You have to hope and hold on.”

*Hearts in my eyes*

The writing style is easygoing but still her words hold depth so it's truly meaningful. No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and a good amount of dialogues makes it a story I can't put away. Characters are described with a lot of feelings and depth which makes me feel like I know them well.

Usually I'm not very fond of series that are so woven together but I love the glimpse I get of the other characters in this book.

I've read the other books in this series and I will read the next.
