Review: Dirty Sexy Saint

Dirty Sexy Saint Dirty Sexy Saint by Carly Phillips
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wonderful book

Samantha leaves her home when overhearing a conversation between her father and her boyfriend where the discuss her like a commodity. She ends up in Clays bar and is so drunk at closing time that Clay takes care of her.
I love the writing style, so to the point but with enough descriptions that I don't feel like something is missing. Very fulfilling for my mind!
The story is great and I feel that I get to know the characters early on in the book. Clay's past is so sad and makes him afraid of coming to close to anyone, and the way the relationship between Clay and Samantha is developing is described very beautifully.
The whole book is great and definitely have to read about Mason and Levi so I have to have the next books in this series. Don't let it scare you off that it's a series it's not a cliffhanger.

Review: Absinthe of Malice

Absinthe of Malice Absinthe of Malice by Rhys Ford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A book to disappear in

Latest book in a series I love. This is book 5 and I recommend you read the first 4 before you read this one.
Sinners Gin is turned in to Crossroads Gin and are touring, but trouble always finds them.
All the band members have their own ghosts and troubled past to struggle with and in the van and motels all the baggage comes to the surface. The authors way of describing the connections between the characters are so wonderful that I have tears in my eyes more than one time.
It's no secret that I loved the previous books in this series and this book is just as good. The story is good and I really feel like I know the characters. And OMG how long to the next book? Because I'm so exited to see what's next for the members of Crossroads Gin and their loved ones.
If you haven't read any of the book I recommend strongly that you start reading because this is a series I'm never going to regret reading.

Review: Their Christmas Bride

Their Christmas Bride Their Christmas Bride by Vanessa Vale
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Short sexy story

This book was very short and with a little hot scene but as all books in this series it's hot Alfa male claiming their women, no surprise there. That's okay if you're prepared for that, witch I was.

Review: Forbidden

Forbidden Forbidden by Tracy Cooper-Posey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Good book

My first historical romance in awhile and I was very anxious to read it because I find it hard to find good books in this genre.
Elisa is to marry Rufus because he's promised to find her son but her world changes when Vaughn shows up. Rufus despise Vaughn even if he's his own son.
I actually liked the story, it was intriguing and sweet and don't forget hot. The writing style is good but I have a little challenge in reading when the words are synonyms that are unknown to me, thank goodness for dictionary on the kindle app.
The love story is well described and I liked how the characters are described, not too over the top but in a way that makes you feel like you know them.
It's a strong 4 stars.

Review: Six Month Rule

Six Month Rule Six Month Rule by A.J. Pine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review.*
This is book 2 in The Kingstone Ale House series but can be read as a standalone.

Holly is aiming for a promotion at work, but she has to do one more job for that to happen. In walks William who's a good looking English man that makes her forget everything. He's not looking for long term relationship and she's got a six month rule, that's perfect isn't it?

I like the writing style, it's easy and fun, feels like it's bouncing around in my head in a good way. The little conversations Holly has in her head is making me sit and chuckle for my self.

The story is full of sweetness and and fun and also a little tear stained and I love all of it. It was a easy book to read and I could forget the world around me and disappear in the story with the characters. The feelings Willam and Holly have for each other is described in a beautiful way, and how the love is growing between them is wonderfully written. I can see them in my mind when I read and that's not to often a book give me that. I have to read the first one in this series.
I love this book!

I've really neglected this blog for some days and that's because I've been reading ARC for publishers and those books they prefer reviews published on the date of release or close to it.
But what I can is give a hint of what's coming:

Release date: August 31th
This book I give 5 star.

Release date: September 13th
This was a 4 star.

Release date: August 8th
Another 5 star, and I loved the cover. ❤️

Release date: September 14th
And another 5 star.

I hope to come back with reviews in not to long.

Review: Never Wanted More

Never Wanted More Never Wanted More by Stacey Mosteller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sweet hot short story

Payton is used to feel like she's not worthy and keeps people away by being a bitch but Wyatt don't give up.
The story was good and the writing style is to my liking.
I like the characters but they don't give me that feeling of being in the scenes with them. If I had got that feeling it would have been a 5 star, but still I shed a little tear at the end part of the book. It's a strong 4.
Payton and Wyatt story is well worth the read so go ahead.

Review: Save Me from Myself

Save Me from Myself Save Me from Myself by Stacey Mosteller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hot, fun and easy to read

Lyric moves to Nashville to get a new start, she meets David and the there is sparkling between them. They both have baggage and don't like to talk about it.
I'm frustrated in the beginning because Lyric don't have a good reason to not be honest with David and that makes me dislike the book a little.
The writing style is a joy, easy and playful. And the sex scenes are hot, specially the two scenes in David's office.
The story is good and the characters are described in a way that makes it easy for me to make an image of them in my head. At lest the main characters I feel like I get to know, but the others are a little distant. That's what's making this a strong 4 star read.

Review: Off Limits

Off Limits Off Limits by Lauren Landish
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Easy read

Dane are having trouble finding a job after coming out of jail. Abby is assaulted and Dane rescue her and they fall in love of course.
This book was hard to read in the beginning but it was growing on me. The story is good. And the writing style is easy but at the same time almost boring. The thing I didn't like was that i couldn't feel the characters and the surroundings, it was like a grey bubble. And I like colourful vibrating descriptions that will make me feel like I'm living in the book.
I'm sorry to say that it will only be 3 stars from me, but it's not so bad that I regret reading it. So if you want an easy read this one is okay.

Review: Raw Redemption

Raw Redemption Raw Redemption by Tessa Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A worthy ending to a great series

Henrik saved Ailish from prison time when he destroys evidence against her. Now he is lost, in her! He was banished to a undercover squad and now he is trying to get Ailish to work with them against her father.
The story is great and a worthy ending of  Crossing The Line series . Henrik and Ailish has a chemistry that sizzles through the whole book, I'm sitting on the edge of my chair almost in the air when I read. The hotness level on this book is sky high, but still that doesn't take away the fact that it's a good storyline. The whole series has been a fabulous read and I'm happy I've bought all the books so I can go back and read them again.
Tessa always manages to make me feel like I'm living in the book with the characters and that's a given 5 star review for me.
If I should complain about something it must be that it should have been longer, it was over to quick.

Review: Sinful Nights Bundle: Books 1-3

Sinful Nights Bundle: Books 1-3 Sinful Nights Bundle: Books 1-3 by Lauren Blakely
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Truly sinful read.

Book one:
Shannon and Brent and their story are well written. The couple broke up ten years ago and now meet again and their still in love with each other. This is the story about them finding together again. I liked that the story provided both main characters voices however I don't know what it is about this book but I didn't seem to disappear in it like I do with others. I finished it but I think I will put it away and read the two other books later.

Book two:
Ryan and Sophie have chemistry in spades and it's described well by the author. Ryan is running his own security firm and Sophie is a philanthropist after selling her business. The secrets from Ryan past is weighing him down and he isn't being completely open to Sophie.
The storyline is good and the characters are described in a way that makes me feel like I know them a little bit. I loved the mailing between them, sometimes there doesn't need to be so many words, just the right words.
Sophie wants to let go of responsibilities and be commanded in the relationship and Ryan loves to command her so it's a light BDMS touch to the story.
The hot scenes showed a lot of creativity, they were all unique and I can truly say that they were in my opinion some of the best I've read.

Book three:
Colin is a man with a past of drug and alcohol but has turned in to a business man with great success and is now using his fortune to help others. Elle is running a centre for youths in need of a safe place to stay. They are having a friendship with benefits but things gets complicated when they develop deeper feelings for each other. The dangers of the background story is also threatening their relationship.
I like the writing style and I can feel the characters feelings of love, sadness agony and....just everything.
The story is great and despite the first book in this series didn't give me a full blown 5 stars coma I really love this series and now I can't wait to read the conclusion in the last book.

Conclusion on this box set: GET IT ASAP!

Review: When I'm Weak

When I'm Weak When I'm Weak by Aria Grace
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Good romance

Jamie is troubled by his past and has a reputation as a slut. When he finally finds Reed who's a good guy running a home preschool for toddlers with his sister that doesn't go well. Jamie's past is a hinder.
I like this series because the story is good and the writing style is one that makes the books easy to read. What makes it a 4 star and not 5 is that I feel the story could have been even better with more.....well I don't know what more but it wasn't enough for me.
Still it's a good read so I will recommend it and I will probably read the rest of the books.

Review: Sloe Ride

Sloe Ride Sloe Ride by Rhys Ford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

(audiobook)
My goodness, I love the colourful writing style of this author.
Quinn and Rafe are the fourth book in this series and I'm not tired of reading about the Morgan's and their extended family. The fierce mother of the family is my heroine, loving all the family and protective as a lioness.
Quinn is the odd sibling that doesn't fit in with the other who are cops and he is a professor. But he's always been in love with Rafe who's a rockstar on recovery from his drug addictions. Rafe has a eye on Quinn too but afraid of what his friends will say if he hits on their brother.
The story is as always great, romance, crime, sweetness, all wrapped up in a remarkable book. I especially loved this book because of the description of Quinn as a introvert person is so meaningful (at least to me) and the way Rafe loves him the way he is. Can't say anymore without giving away to much. But as you can understand I very much recommend this book.
And now I've learned there's a fifth book coming.....hurray!!!!!

Review: Tequila Mockingbird

Tequila Mockingbird Tequila Mockingbird by Rhys Ford
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

Third book in the Sinners series
Connor is straight, or so he thinks until he meets Forest. His comforting Forest when he comes to a crime scene where Forest's foster dad is found killed.
There is a good crime story in the book besides the romance and hotness. And AS always the books from this author has me captured from the first sentence. The writing style is so colourful and describes everything in a way that makes you feel that your in there with the characters. This is what makes a book 5 stars for me, I disappear in it. Hubby has to shake me to get me out.
Read people, read. Or even listen like me because the man reading has a really great voice.

Review: Whiskey and Wry

Whiskey and Wry Whiskey and Wry by Rhys Ford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

(audiobook)
Second book in the Sinners series.
Damien, who Miki (from the first book) was convicted to be dead wakes up in an asylum. Everyone tells him he's memories aren't real and his name is Stephen. He manages to run away and meet Sionn. But there is still someone coming after him.
This is the second time I listen to this book, I'm usually a real book nerd who likes to read but sometimes when I travel it's easier to have a audiobook. And the narrator has a comfortable voice.
The story is very good, exiting, with a little action and so sweet. The connection between Damien and Sionn is slowly simmering to a full blown relationship that's hot and heavy. And the brotherly connection between Damien and Miki is described so good that I can feel the love and compassion they have for each other. The author has a writing style that I love, she is so colourful when describing the people, places and even feelings.
I love this series.

Review: Sinner's Gin

Sinner's Gin Sinner's Gin by Rhys Ford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've listened to this for the second time and it's a amazing book. Miki is the only survivor when his band is in a car accident. His dog leads a sexy cop to his door and Kane changes his world around, but so does a corps in his garage.
The story is good and the author has a way of writing that makes the book easy to get in to the book. The description of the characters are colourful and makes me really see them in my head. There's so much revealed in the book as it progresses and for me it's a perfect progression. This is a series and I've listened to them all, and probably I'm going to do it again.
If you're in to hot scenes, action and sweet guys that also are hot you go ahead. I promise this book is not going to disappoint you.
And it's not making it less sexy by the reader who sounds great.

Review: Foolproof Love

Foolproof Love Foolproof Love by Katee Robert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review.

Adam is just in town to see his mother whose sick and he can't get out of town again soon enough. Jules runs her own business and can't imagine leaving her hometown. It starts out as a fake relationship because Jules ex wants to rekindle their relationship but......you know
After reading many books recently that almost exclusively is written from one characters side I prefer when both have something to say because I think it gives more life and feelings to the story.
The story was the same as I've read many times before, two people meet, fall in love, some complications and happy ending. What makes this story more than average good is the authors capability of playing with words, it's a fun, hot, interesting book. Katee is a wordsmith and I love it. It was so easy to read and practically impossible to put away before I got to the end. The pop culture references was gold for a slightly older lady like me. I laughed, got excited and cried.
Adam is a dirty talker and Jules wants to learn to talk dirty and her tries at doing it gave me a good laugh because I could see myself trying with the same result.
“You want to know the trick to dirty talking? It’s to say everything with confidence. You don’t give the other person enough time or space to stop and think and feel awkward about what they’re hearing.” Lesson learned!
I loved this book and I hope so much there is a story coming for Jules friend Aubry.

Review: His Five Night Stand

His Five Night Stand His Five Night Stand by Emma Thorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Not a 5 star read but the potential is there.

Callie comes out of a boring relationship and moves in to a building where Theo lives. The man has a broken heart and he gives women only five nights of passion to heal their broken hearts. Callie is very inhibited, she has hidden her real self to satisfy a man and his wishes. Theo shows her who she really is.
The writing style is good, and the story is great. The characters are well written but I don't get that feeling of losing my self in the book. And because of that it's not very much more to say about the book. There are very wonderful hot scenes so because of them I'll give it a 4 star.
I might check out the other books if I need a quick read.

Review: Finding Cinderella

Finding Cinderella Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Not exactly a Cinderella story

Two people meeting in a small dark room decides to pretend their in love for an hour. They make love and go separate ways without knowing each other names our how they look.
I love the way the author writes, fun and fast sentences between the characters. The story is sweet and funny and the author is able not to make it in to a cliché with a loveable writing style. And there are surprising ways this book takes, and the young vulnerability is so good described.
The characters are described with feelings and made me feel with them, and that's the way to get me to like a book. If I'm going to pinpoint something that made it a very solid 4 star and not a 5 star it's that I only got one of the main characters view.
I've never read anything from this author before but I think I'm going to check out some of the other books.

Review: Tempting Mr. Wrong

Tempting Mr. Wrong Tempting Mr. Wrong by Kerri Carpenter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Carly was rejected by Lance years ago because he wouldn't go after his friends little sister. With Carly's brother and his wife past away Carly is now taking care of their daughter who's also Lance's goddaughter. Lance comes out of the army with a bucket list, but first he goes to check on Carly and Maya since his friend left a letter requesting him to do that.
The author has a fun and entertaining way of writing, example;"She was a lean, mean hugging machine." I think the story was good, it builds up to a ending like a fairytale. This was a book I could loose myself in, easy to read and it made me feel, something that's important to me when I read a book. I laughed, worried and cried with the characters. She describes the characters well and the love scenes are sweet. The whole book was actually sweet like a bucket full of candy.
The books I prefers to read are filled with more hotness in the love scenes but it was actually refreshing with more sweetness and I thought it fitted with the books more family oriented storyline. A big part of me enjoying a book is that both main characters have a voice not only one of them. And this book had that so it's a 5 star read.
I haven't read anything from this author beforehand but I think I'm going to check out her other books because I loved this one.
